Stencil Embossing with White Embossing

Catherine Floral, Gallery, Techniques, Videos

Stencil Embossing 2Over on Facebook I posted a tiny snippet of some projects I was working on last week.  I stamped and made my video, but it stopped there.  When I was done, I felt like I could do better.  Does that happen to you?

The cards are fine!  They are perfect for what they are intended to be…little gifts of happy to send to my niece and a girlfriend.  But,  I'm giving myself a hard time right now because I feel like my video projects should be better than “fine”.

Part of my issue, I think, is that I feel like I'm using the same card layout over and over again.

I hopped over to StampNation and took a peek at THIS tutorial that Maureen did the other day. Her projects are fantastic!

And guess what?  The layouts she used are exactly the ones I've been using lately.  In fact, one of them is exactly the layout I'm using today.

When she first saw them, I was blown away by how gorgeous her cards are, not once thinking that I've seen that layout before.

I'm trying to shift my mind set and give myself a break.  Will you do it with me?

We don't need to reinvent the wheel or make the greatest card that ever existed every time.  Right?

As long as we are having fun, getting creative (it's good for the soul, ya know) and brightening someone's day with our hand stamped card, the goal is achieved.

With that, today's card is a layout you've seen me use before.

I had fun.  I got creative.  And I'll give this to one of my girlies to make them smile.  Check, check and CHECK.
