How Do You Like Your Coffee? National Coffee Day Blog Hop

CatherineGeneral

Here at Catherine Pooler Designs, we certainly are lovers of coffee! When it comes to creating product with a hot drink theme, we have a soft spot! I guess you could say we take our coffee with paper and ink. We were super excited to participate and sponsor the National Coffee Day Blog Hop.

These cards feature our Fall Calls for Lattes Stamp Set and Dies. We took the images and added some holiday patterned paper and stamped holly to create seasonal cards. The Holiday Cheer Sentiments Stamp Set worked great.

These cards also features the Fall Calls for Lattes Stamp Set and were done two ways. Using the same elements and color combo, Erika laid them out slightly differently. Which do you like best?

The Coffee Shop Stamp Set is another perk-y pick for your hot drink cards and projects. This set features big bold sentiments, a top view latte, and travel mug images. There are so many ways to mix and match the stamps.

A bit of ink and “coffee splatter” or a chalk board card with today's “fresh brewed” specials? It's fun to try different techniques with inks or embossing powder to get a different effect on your card. Both of these feature the same colors as well, but done in completely different ways!

Our newest coffee cutie is the Holiday Mug Shots Stamp Set! This one hit the shop this month and is just in time to celebrate National Coffee Day.

Santa, Rudolf and a Snowman- coloring the line art mugs is super fun with whatever medium you prefer and you can arrange them in so many ways. These two cards feature the Cookies for Santa 12×12 Patterned Paper on their backgrounds.

Thanks for stopping here as part of the National Coffee Day Blog Hop! Use Classic Products with NEW!

CatherineGeneral

Hello friends! Erika here with another blog take-over! When the Holiday Mug Shots hit the Cluhouse, I couldn't wait to stamp, color and die cut them! I made a bag full and then got to my craft table to see what I could make!

I wanted to make a few tags and also some cards and went into my crafty CP stash to see what other products I thought might work well in upping my card and tag making game!

Party Tag Dies

The Party Tag Dies has a great sized tag die. This one worked great for my stripe tags. I cut paper strips with the Mod Strips Cover Plate and some on my paper trimmer and used the direct to paper method to color them. I added a lot of splatter with ink and metallic watercolor paint.

Ho Ho Ho Word Die & Holiday One Liners

Subbing out a mug for a “O” just felt like the right thing to do! The Ho Ho Ho Word Die has a background layer I cut from patterned paper. I found a little dot on my desk (from one of the tags I cut out) and made Rudolf his very own red nose! The sentiment from Holiday One Liners felt just perfect for this whimsical card!

Jack Frost Cover Plate Die

What goes better with snowmen than snowflakes? I ink blended a panel and cut it out with the Jack Frost Cover Plate Die. I added more splatter to help with the icy feel of this card's background.

Tree Trimmings Die

The Tree Trimmings Die makes a perfect wreath and focal point for your card. I was able to fit the sentiment from Seasonal Mix Stamp Set into the center which I embossed in WOW! Copper EP. I ink blended the back panel in With and Olive and popped up my die cut layer with foam tape to give some dimension. This olive green mug works perfectly for a cozy card full of comfort and joy!

Patterned Paper Holiday Cards with Ashlee McGregor

CatherineGeneral

Creating holiday cards with patterned paper is always a winner! The Cookies & Milk Paper was made to work great with our Holiday Mug Shots Stamp Set and comes with a “built in” color combo to get you started!

Ashlee stamped and colored her Mug Shots images with colors coordinating with her inks. She used a piece of paper for her background and then simply added a layer with her sentiment from the Seasonal Mix Sentiments Stamp Set. This card layout is simple and great for multiple cards.

Using the same basic elements, Ashlee created this card with a different sheet as her background. This time she changed the layout to landscape and used three mugs to embellish her design.

Ashlee switched from a round focal point to using the Ruffles and Dashes dies to make oblong layers. She added in two layers of patterned paper and one of the larger sentiments.

On her last card, Ashlee kicked up the design by using two different patterns of paper and adding a tag and twine. She used the Party Tag Dies for her focal point. From super simple to a bit more pizzaz, these cards are all super cute and extra colorful, thanks to the Cookies & Milk Patterned Paper.

Baking Spirits Bright was Amazing Because of YOU!

ErikaGeneral

We can't believe that after months of planning and preparing, our Baking Spirits Bright Virtual Retreat is over. All of the participants had a blast digging into their supply boxes and getting tons of inspiration and ideas from our instructor sessions.

Two people baking cookies in kitchen

BIG Thanks!

We had so much fun from start to finish with this event! I want to thank my team for all their hard work in planning each detail. There was so much love in designing our Stamp of Approval-inspired box of goodies. The team took such care in packing up the boxes- all the way down to the custom packing tape from our friends at Sticker Mule!

We want to send a HUGE Thank You to all of our talented and creative instructors! Every session was packed with ideas, even Erika and I learned so much. During the sessions, I made lists on post-it notes of the things I learned and I just about went through an entire pack! Watching other folks walk through their creative process step-by-step is a great way to pick up on great tricks and learn new techniques.

Most of all, thanks to all of YOU, who participated and for all your excitement and encouraging feedback. From the packing and shipping to the learning and making- this retreat was “baked with love” from start to finish!

Holiday Mug Shots with Coffee Queen Amy Tsuruta!

CatherineGeneral

Amy Tsuruta, host of the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog, is all about creating with hot drink stamps and dies so we just had to send her the Holiday Mug Shots Stamp Set to try!

This stamp set and coordinating dies also works great with the Cookies & Milk Patterned Paper. Using the paper color combo is a fun place to start when coloring your images.

Amy pulled in her Notecard Frames and Tags Dies and the Scallops and Dots Dies to make layers for this card. She used the NEW With an Olive Ink Pad and On the Lake Ink Pad on the frame and her sentiment. Super cute trio of mugs!

On this card, Amy also pulled her Marquise Slimline Cover Plate Die into the mix. I like the texture and interest it adds to her card. The plaid from the Cookies & Milk Patterned Paper is festive as the background layer!

Go pink! The pink snowflake pattern was a must in this paper pack! Cutting a variety of circles from the paper, Amy created a wreath motif for this card. Amy used the Seasonal Mix Sentiments and embossed it in the center as a perfect greeting.
