Precision Ink Blending with the Spirodahlia Stencil

CatherineGeneral

With the right tools, you can be an ink blending superstar!! With our new Detail Ink Blending Tools, you have a lot more control where the color goes and it's easy to add color in small amounts. On YouTube, I shared some Precision Ink Blending techniques with the Spirodahlia Stencil. I had my Detail Blending Brushes and a variety of ink colors ready to go!

See how to create these cards on this Youtube Live Stream.

My first card is soft and lovely and features It's a Girl and Lemon Sorbet. I love how the colors look as they overlap and blend into a yummy soft peach. This card was bringing the pink lemonaid vibes! I added a sentiment and small strip of Stroke of Midnight paper for a graphic pop!

Bring on the rainbow! Using the Detail Blending Brushes, I was able to get into each section of the stencil and incorporate more precise application of color- which meant more colors!! I just love how this card came out. It's a prism of color and my friend is going to love this for her “fabulous fifty” birthday celebration!

Are you ready to try some precision ink blending? I can't wait to see what you create!!

Bring on the Bunnies!!

CatherineGeneral

With Easter approaching, it's time for Easter card inspiration! And who else would be the star of the show but the Easter Bunny himself! We have several cute bunny stamps in several stamps sets that will work perfectly!

Hops & Peeps

The Hops & Peeps Stamp Set has the cutest peeking bunny, ready for your Easter projects. Pair it with an easter egg stamp set or layering dies for the full peeking effect!

Oh, Baby!

Oh, Baby was designed to be super cute for baby cards, but don't stop there! The bunny image is great when combined with Easter sentiments. I made a stencil with the bunny die and then used stencils to ink blend patterns in spring colors for this one.

Spring Into Easter

Spring Into Easter has two sweet line-art bunnies and Easter sentiments to boot! Color them with simple shading or loads of details. Create colorful easter cards with a bunny as the focal point or a full-out springtime scene card with this set!

Spring Card Making with Floral Motifs!

CatherineGeneral

As we get into Spring here in the US, we are inspired by all the flowers popping up all around us! Bright and colorful florals are the perfect element for spring cards! This post will inspire you to bring colorful florals to your spring cards and you can find them created in Reels on our Instagram page.

The Daffodils in Bloom Stamp Set is perfect for a clean and simple spring card. With the monochromatic yellow color combo with a small pop of green, this card iso sunny and bright!! Layers make this card have extra interest.

The Welcome Spring Sentiment Set was created to work with the Hello Spring Layered Word Dies. The stamp set also has a few small floral stamps that work perfectly for creating a full background like I did here. Don't forget small supporting stamps can be the star!

Here's another daffodil card but this time I went with pinks! Soft colors look so pretty on floral images and I couldn't resist adding in the bee and his zoomy flight trail!

Patterned paper is another fun way to add a floral theme to your card. I created this one with a few strips of Easterpalooza Patterned Paper and embellished with a small floral stamp from the Carrot Bouquet Stamp Set.

With the right colors and floral elements, spring cards are fun and easy to create.

Spring Scene Cards with Arsenia!

CatherineGeneral

We've been sharing so many fabulous cards created with our new Daffodil Blooms Stamp Set to get your creative juices flowing for the spring card making season. We're not done! These cards by Arsenia are going to knock your socks off, get ready to be inspired!

Arsenia cut a window from her card front with the Scalloped Loop Dies and created a garden of beauty inside! She ink blended the sky, clouds and grass behind her daffodil and other die cut flowers from the Welcome Spring Sentiments Stamp Set. This is an explosion of spring beauty!

How about making your own rainbow? On this card, Arsenia used the Around the Loop Dies and direct-to-paper technique to build a rainbow. She embellished with splatters, flowers, sequins and die cut hearts and used the Hello Spring Word Die as the focal point.

Combining both ideas, Arsenia placed her rainbow in the die cut window of this card and built up around with her stamped and die cut daffodil and bee from the Daffodil Blooms Stamp Set. She also used a pop of trim from the Stroke of Midnight Patterned Paper on each of these creations!

Check out the products she used to create these cards in the CP Designs shop using the product links below!

Four Ways to Use the Carrot Bouquet Stamp Set

CatherineGeneral

The Carrot Bouquet Stamp Set features one large line-art image of a bouquet made from carrots! This is such a fun image to stamp and color and use as the focal point of your card. Let's take a a look at a few ways you can have some fun with this stamp set.

Stick to Traditional

Amanda created this card with a simple background featuring a piece of patterned paper and a window cut with the Scalloped Loop Dies. She colored her main image carrot bouquet, and die cut it, making it the focal point of her card. This set was designed to allow you to stamp a variety of sentiments right on the bow!

Lisa Harrolle

Sans Carrots

Lisa took a similar approach but she made this adorable card without the carrots! You can fussy cut them off or simply tuck them behind other layers and have just the flowers shine! This is such a smart way to use the large main image stamp.

Amanda Fitterer

Build a Background

We fit in several secondary floral image stamps in this set to give you more options and Amanda took full advantage of those blooms! By stamping them in a pattern and coloring them, she created her own custom patterned paper layer. Amanda used one of the large hand-drawn sentiments from the Easter Joy Stamp Set as her focal point.

LIsa Harrolle

Keep it Simple

Beautiful layers and patterned paper always create a stunning card. Lisa just put one single flower element on this card, added her sentiment and this birthday card is good to go!

No matter which method you pick, the Carrot Bouquet Stamp Set is a star for spring card making. Check out my video on YouTube where I created these two hand made cards!

Easter Egg-stravaganza with the Ukrainian Eggs Stamp Set

CatherineGeneral

We are loving the NEW Ukrainian Eggs Stamp Set. This gorgeous two-step stamp set is so fun to play with and the stamps mix and match wonderfully with the other elements in our Joys of Spring Collection.

Kristie Goulet

Emboss Resist

These rainbow eggs are just right on this cute little Easter number! Kristie white embossed the patterned stamps, die cut them and then ink blended over top to create an array of colors. They are so festive and pretty!

Kristie Goulet

Use Patterned Paper

Using the Easterpalooza Patterned Paper, you can simply die cut dozens of eggs. Such a quick and easy way to make spring patterned eggs for your cards. I love how she added a few of the secondary floral stamps to her cluster here.

Catherine

Layer it Up!

The Greenhouse Gate Cover Plate and Scalloped Loop Dies are featured on this card. I layered them up- white on white – and then popped on my stamped and die cut eggs. Need help picking your colors for layering? Just grab your CP Color Wheel and go!

The Little Blossoms Background Stamp is part of the Eggs & Blossoms Bundle and works beautifully with the egg stamps or even on its own! This simple floral background stamp is just beautiful and can be inked up and used as a whole background or just an accent for your cards!
