My First My Digital Studio!

Catherine Projects

Hey, Stamper Friends!  I wanted to share my very first scrapbook page with My Digital Studio!

I've actually had a bit of trouble working with this program, though…not because of IT, but because of my computer!  It's not “big” enough…it is very s-l-o-w and I'm very impatient and those 2 do not mix!

One thing that I loved about this page was that I used a template, clicked and dragged my photos in and Viola!  They instantly resized themselves to fit the spot for the photo.  I was tickled with that!

Then, I was able to change the background paper color, add a text box, add some brads and I was done!

My Digital Studio will be available for purchase by customers on Thursday, October 1 for $79.95 (order # 118108).  If you would like to preorder it, email me and I will place your order first thing Thursday morning.

If you'd like to order it yourself, you can go to my website and place your order.  Remember, if there are other things you would like, a $150 order qualifies you for hostess benefits!  (a level one stamp set and $15 free merchandise…plus you will get 3 spots on your Customer Rewards card).

Be sure to check back in the morning…I've got more great things to share!

Wandering Words in LOVE!

Catherine Projects

Hey, Stamper Friends!

It's been a long couple of days…fun, but long!  I had a workshop last night, then I had 2 today.  I have workshops on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday as well…guess it's the end of the month mad rush!

I wanted to post a quick card for you before calling it a night.  This one uses Wandering Words again from the Stampin' Up mini catalog

I inked the stamp up in black, then wiped off a few of the hearts.  Next I colored them with my Real Red Stampin' Write Marker.  By then the ink was slightly dry, so I huffed on it to re-moisten it, then stamped!

Santa’s Sleigh

Catherine Christmas, Die Cutting, Projects

There is something about Stampin' Up's Mini Catalog set,  Wandering Words.  When I saw it in the mini, it really stood out to me.  I love it because it has images for 3 different holidays.  Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Valentine's Day.  It's simple images so they are easy to stamp and create with.

Here is the card we made last night in my Christmas Card Crank Stamp-A-Stack.

We ran the white cardstock through the Big Shot with the Texture Plates, then stamped the image in versamark, poured on gold embossing powder, tapped it off, and heated it.

  • 116507 Wandering Words $25.95
  • 100730 White Cardstock $7.50
  • 102482 Real Red Cardstock $5.50

Have you heard about the Founder's Circle Boots that match the COTTAGE WALL DSP?  I almost lost my mind when I walked in my room and saw these babies sitting on my bed!  I LOVE ‘EM!!!  I carried them with me all the way home from Utah and got 4 compliments in the airport…all 4 from MEN!  Thanks to the Stampin' Up events staff for taking so much time to make this event so incredibly special.  Wow, they never cease to amaze me!

And I have been lucky enough to have 2 out of the past 4 days with rain in Raleigh, so I got to sport them around town.  How fun!!!

Have a great night!  I'm looking forward to my last session of my Christmas Card Crank tonight.  Awesome cards and awesome customers stamping with me…what could be better?

Check back tomorrow for samples from the Crank, and I'm working on a kit that will be perfect for you gals that can't make it over here to stamp…it's coming soon!

Layered Brayer

Catherine Projects

This is a really cool technique that you can do with lots of different stamps….let's start thinking about Christmas cards with these snowflakes.

Layered Brayer

1) Heat emboss your chosen images on Glossy White card stock using VersaMark ink and Clear Stampin' Emboss powder. Bold images work best for this technique.

2) Ink your brayer with a light color of ink, and bray your card stock.

3) Use a sticky note or scrap paper cut to desired shapes and sizes to cover portions of your card stock.

4) Ink your brayer with a darker color of ink, and bray your card stock again.

5) Repeat process if extra layers desired.

6) Remove paper scraps and wipe embossed images to remove excess ink.

Vampire Teeth and Shopping!

Catherine Projects

Hello Stamper Friends!

I wanted to share a project with you.  Have you seen Stampin' Up's new Sweet Treat Cups?  They are super fun and cute and coordinate with the Sweet Centers stamp set.  When I saw the eyeball candy and the vampire teeth candy, I knew they belonged in a Sweet Treat Cup

I stamped the Halloween image from the Sweet Centers stamp set, used my 1 3/4″ circle punch, slid my Sweet Treat Cup in the hole and adhered it to my black cardstock layer.

This was one of the highlights of my trip to Founder's Circle!  A shopping trip with CEO and co-founder of Stampin' Up, Shelli Gardner and her daughter, Sara Douglas.  We had a great time and got lots of super cool clothes!  Have you been to Buckle?  Rockin' stuff in there!  🙂

The last night we had a Pajama Party Card Swap and Business Share.  What a fun night that was!  SU always does it up just right…tropical drinks, gorgeous cupcakes with butterflies on them, fruit cups and lots-o-candy and chocolate!

Glenda Travelstead, Meg Loven and myself.

Jessie and I after the PJ party admiring all our card swaps!

I feel very blessed to have earned this trip and know that I couldn't do it with all the wonderful customers and downline in my life…and of course, my family.  My husband is my biggest supporter and cheerleader.  Thank you!

Founder’s Circle Part 1

Catherine Projects

Hello, Stampin' Friends!

First, I want to give you a sneak peek at the cards we will be making at my next Christmas Card Crank on Thursday, September 25 at 9:45 am or 7 pm.  For $25 you will make 4 of each of the following designs and get to stamp the matching envelopes, too!  Register here.

I returned home late last night from another incredible Founder's Circle Retreat.  I feel so blessed to have achieved 4 of these trips and each one just gets better and better!

This year we went to St. George, Utah.  We had 4 days of being spoiled (can you believe we got gifts on our pillows every night!?), playing, stamping, eating, and socializing.  On Thursday night, many of us went to see Aida at the Tuachan Ampitheater.  It was wonderful!  Here are Jessie and I before entering the Amphitheater.

Lysay Mahon, Meg Loven and myself in the amphitheater.  I can't believe it's been 2 years since we started our Advisory Board journey together!

The next day, a few of us went on a hike at Zion. (Me, Maxine Conrad, her mom, Jen Jacobsen and Jo Golden.)

We hiked a trail that led to 3 different pools, the Emerald Pools.  This is a hike I will never forget!  It ended with getting stuck in the rain.  Wow, it looked like we had jumped in a swimming pool!  It was a bit uncomfortable at the time, but what a memory!

I'll be sharing more of our adventures with you later…gotta go pay some attention to the hubby!  🙂

Have a great night,

Build-A-Bear meets Stampin’ Up

Catherine Projects

I was so super excited when I learned that Stampin' Up had teamed up with Build-A-Bear Workshop!  Wow…what an amazing partnership!  I knew my wallet was in trouble, though!  My very first purchases from the Holiday Mini were the Build-A-Bear dies (Bear 117977, $23.95,Beary Essentials Clothes 117978, 23.95 and Sizzlets Beary Girl Clothes 117982, $5.95).

All 3 of my girls (4, 6, and 9) and some of their friends have had a ball cutting these bears out with the Big Shot and clothing them.  I'm tellin' ya, it's better than a baby sitter!

Here is the very first card I made using the Beary Best Friends stamp set.  I had a ball coloring this baby in, and my 4 year old, Eva, made one, too (and yeah, I think that's how the ink splot got on this one!).  She was so proud!  What a great birthday card for any kid!
