Blooms do the Tango!

Catherine Projects

I had fun with this card!  I used the big Scallop big shot die and the new circle scissors cutter!  The stamp set is Botanical Blooms and it is free with your $50 purchase through March 31!

Tangerine Tango and Kiwi Kiss.

Now is the perfect time to order the Big Shot.  I hesitated myself, but now that I own it, I use it on almost every project I make.  I suggest getting the Big Shot Starter Kit which includes:

  • Top Note Die
  • Birds & Blooms Sizzlet 4 pack
  • Billboard Alphabet Die
  • Cutting pads and platform for the alphabet die

Now that's what I'm talkin' about!  You get all this for $195.95.  Add on another $5 to bump your order to $200 and this is what you get for FREE!

  • FOUR Sale-A-Bration selections
  • Level One Hostess stamp set
  • $15 in free merchandise, your choice!

If you place your order through my website, you will also get a free Idea Book and Catalog in your order!

Let me know what questions you have and if you need recommendations on your order!

Fire it up on Valentine’s Day!

Catherine Projects

My friend Deena did this one using A Happy Heart.

This is to hang on your wine bottle.

A candle to light up the night.

Hmmm…wonder what you could give your honey in this tiny little box!??

Thanks for sharing your projects with us, Deena!  You're HOT!  🙂

Valentine’s day

Catherine Projects

Vicki Dorroh outdid herself with this one!  It was a swap card at our last event and uses the Love You Much stamp set, heart punch and Love, Joy, Cheer die for the Big Shot.

These tins are really fun to make.  I wrapped mini candy bars in Candy Lane Designer Series paper, then made a belly band for the tin and added some fun hearts stamped with Love you much, then punched out!

Little Pouches…

Catherine Projects

I was a bit excited about this project.  I was looking for something for my club project last month and came across some cute bags covered with the Top Note Die.  It's probably just me, but there's just something about covering bags like that or with DSP or other stuff that doesn't appeal to me.

But I got inspired!

I figured if I turned the Top Note long way and scored it about 1/2″ on both pieces, folded it over, glue and wrapped it around some yummy candy, we'd be set!  I used the Word Window punch to make a handle.  Then I stamped the little With Love from Yummy (a FREE Sale-A-Bration stamp set!) and punched that out with the Word Window Punch.  What a fun treat!

This is the one we did in club.

Projects and Winners from Open House

Catherine Projects

I had my New Catalog and Sale-A-Bration kick off Open House this weekend and it was so much fun!

I thought I'd let you in on the projects we made.  They were a hit, I believe!

This one I got inspired from someone's blog…not sure who's.  It's an 8 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ peice of Very Vanilla Cardstock scored at 2 3/4″ on each side.  We put it through the texure plates, my new favorite Stampin' Up toy!  (besides the corduroy buttons!).

We used Fundamental Phrases and the Sale-A-Bration set, Botanical Blooms.  Check the gallery for more samples with Botanical Blooms and add your own as well!

This was a popular card.  We used the Scallop envelope Big Shot Die, Polka Dot Punches and Raspberry Tart DSP!

There is an exact science to using the Scallop Envelope Die.  You have to get just the right thickness so that the score lines get scored and the cut lines get cut.  I found that using this order works:

  • cutting plate
  • Die
  • crease pad
  • TWO shims (using one didn't cut the cardstock completely and I had to finish it with scissors)

If you must have one of these babies all to yourself, you can hop over to www.catherinepooler.stampinup.net and place an online order, directly shipped to you AND get a free catalog in your order!

Of course, I had door prizes!
The winners are:

  • Prints Pattern Pack- Rebecca Mitchell
  • From the Garden- Gina Scott
  • Rub-ons- Monica Yates
  • In Color Asst. Cardstock- Susan Arnold

Sweet Stems, Masking

Catherine Projects

This card made by one of my favorite stampers, Deena Boos, is made using the masking technique.  We punched a circle through a post-it note, put this on the card, sponged color on top, stamped the image and colored it in.  Easy, simple, elegant and AWESOME!!!

Itty Bitty…

Catherine Projects

Itty Bitty Buds is one of Stampin' Up's new hostess stamp sets and I JUST LOVE IT!  I have enjoyed playing with all the cutie little flowers…just adorable!  There are so many cute little flowers and swirls to play with, I can just imagine the possibilities!  I used Pacific Point, Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss on this card along with the photo corner punch.

If you would like to get this set for free, contact me to host a worskhop or join one of my stamper's clubs…long distance members welcome, too!

Check the gallery to see more samples!

Love You Much

Catherine Projects

My friend, Lauren added this great sample to the gallery yesterday!  I LOVE how she used the flower punch to add a cutie little flower attached with a brad.  I also love the simplicity of this card.

I hope everyone is having a great day!  Our 2 oldest kids just got home from school…yes, they went to school on a Saturday.  Well, when you go to a year round school, that's what happens!  The school is being used every day of the year except on holidays, so there's no weekdays to make it up!

To tell you the truth, Randall and I were high-fiving each other when we found out!  4 hours at home with just ONE child!  So we went to the gym to work out together (which NEVER happens), then we went to pick out hardwoods (thanks to Stampin' Up and my wonderful customers, I FINALLY get hardwood floors!!!).  I know…super exciting. LOL

Have a great day!

Valentine Candy Tin

Catherine Projects

I made this fun little tin and had it at my downline meeting the other day and it was a hit!

It was so super easy, I just took mini snickers bars, wrapped them in the Candy Lane DSP that Stampin' Up has in the Love You Much bundle.  Then I wrapped the tin with a belly band, stamped some hearts with white craft ink, punched them out with the brand new heart punch and glued them on.  Viola!  Somethin' CUTE!!!

SNOW is rare in Raleigh, NC!

Catherine Projects

I was planning a scrapbook class project recently and was thinking about doing a snowman page when one of my friends reminded me that it hasn't snowed here in years.  Well, now we NEED that page!!!!!

We have several inches and it's still snowing!
