Rita’s Window

Catherine Projects

Have you seen labels this small?  I went to a gathering of my upline's and Rita Childs shared this really cool card.  She was so sweet to give me a copy of it.

First you need tiny labels…then you need the classic, Lovely as a Tree….Use the “guts” of the sticker sheet, but don't forget to put a bit of baby powder on it, or pat your embossing buddy on it.  When you lay it on your cardstock and stamp and sponge, then remove, LOOK at what you GET!  Holy schnikes!

Reason for the Season

Catherine Projects

What better way to celebrate the reason for this season with your loved ones than to send them your holiday wishes with this beautiful card. Embossing is always a hit year round but seems to add a special elegance and importance to Holiday cards and this card is no exception. I love how the designer embossed the sentiment on the vellum to really make it stand out as the focal point, allowing the poinsettias stamped on the white cardstock to serve as embellishments. The thickness of our cardstock vellum exclusive to Stampin' Up! allows it to stand up wonderfully to the heat from the Heat Tool.

You can purchase any or all of the supplies needed to make this card by going to my Stampin' Up! website and clicking on the Shop Now button in the upper right hand corner or by emailing or calling me.

Desktop Calendar

Catherine Projects

I worked really hard, late into the night last night and got 9 out of 12 pages done for the Desktop Calendar class on the 25th.  It came along fabulously!

For $25, you will make 12 6×6 scrapbook pages to fit into a desktop calendar.  This is my most favorite gift to give.  I always give a 6×6 scrapbook along with it, so at the end of the year, grandma can pull the pages out and have a scrapbook to keep.  Genius!

You will be able to make each page in less than 10 minutes…most are very basic, some include embossing, rubons, and the chalkboard technique.  You don't want to miss this!

just jawing, dentist appt?

Catherine Projects

My terribly creative friend, Deena Boos, shared this card with me that she sent to her son's orthodontist office.  I'm dyin' over this!  She used a versamarker to draw on the braces, then used silver embossing powder.  Love IT!

just jawing…not just for Halloween!

Catherine Projects

Here is another one shamelessly CASED from my friend Kimberly VanDiepen.  Actually, my buddy Amy Fitzgerald made it…she made one for me and one for herself.  It uses Just Jawing Stamp Set, Ghostly Greetings, Pink Pirouette cardstock and ink, Chunky Sprinkles Glitter applied with a 2 Way Glue Pen.   Wouldn't you love it if someone sent one of these to you!!???

Well, one day my almost-4-year-old was hanging out in the stamp room with me and decided she wanted to make one.  I told her she could if she gave it away (unlike her mother who mostly hoards her cards!).  She chose her preschool teacher, Miss Peg.

Here is her version:

I think we brightened Miss Peg's day and Eva was pretty proud of herself!

Welcome Home Kenly!

Catherine Projects

We picked up our new puppy first thing Sat. morning.  What a wonderful day it was and I thought about the fact that this is a day our children will remember…and even if Eva, our youngest doesn't, I have plenty of pictures to remind her!

We had an hour drive home and we each got about 15 minutes to hold him.

He did great when we got home.  Played a bit, but then slept for hours all day long.  We are crate training him and he gets right in there, many times on his own!

Other than the kids bossing each other around, fighting over him and wanting to play with him constantly, it's been a dream!  LOL!

These pictures crack me up!

It's going to be a fun adventure….

Holy Pumpkins!

Catherine Projects

This pumpkin created quite the buzz at my club in October so I decided we would make them in November.  I am also going to make about 12 of them for the teacher's fall luncheon at school.  You can also substitute holiday paper, forgo the leaves and you have ornaments!  Let me know if you make some!

Pumpkin 3-D project

Catherine Projects

Another card from my fabulous upline, Karin Grotjohn.

There are so many things I love about this card.  The colors (not my normal colors, too!), the little hat, the clip, the torn edge, the simplicity, the clip, the clip!!!

You know you can order these clips from me, you know!

Don't forget this stamp set is 20% off in October!

Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango.

Catherine Projects

Everytime I show this nifty little tool, those that haven't ever seen it LOVE it!  It's called a Stamp-A-Ma-Jig.  And for $11.95, you'll find it an affordable piece that you can't resist!

First, line the imaging sheet up in the corner of your SAMJ.  Then line your stamp in the corner as well and stamp your image.

Line up your imaging sheet so the image you just stamped is where you want it.

Place your SAMJ at the corner of the imaging sheet, remove the imaging sheet, then line your stamp with the SAMJ and stamp!
