hand made card with stencil effect and butterflies

On a recent live, I created this pair of cards featuring the Rays of Light Cover Plate Die and Butterfly Buddies Dies. One was made with the full cover plate in a traditional style and on the other, I ink blended over the cover plate die to create a soft stenciled effect.

Amanda Fitterer

Sometimes you can get double duty from this technique! Amanda ink blended the whole Plant Stand Slimline Die over another piece of paper. Then she was able to use the top piece and the negative stenciled piece on two different cards! Love this!

Melissa Andrew

Now run…don't walk, straight to your cover plate stash and see what inspires you to test out as a stencil for your next card.
