I don't know about you, but sometimes I find I grab some of the same colors over and over. Clearly they are some of my favorites but sometimes I need a boost to get out of my box and use different colors and color combinations.
This week I challenged myself to play with some Tetradic Color Combos (aka Double Complementary) and grabbed inspiration from the NEW Spa Color Combo Guide! Once I began playing with the colors, things really started to come together.
Using the Melon Edge Dies to create a template, I ink blended my hills and cloudy sky. I love the whimsical look of this landscape! When you stamp and die cut a number of images in the same color combo, you can move your pieces around to figure out your layout. I then used some of the extra images to build a simple second card.
I used the same basic color family combination to create this summery number. Adding a contrasting colored image to the swimsuits gives such a cute look. The subtile Tranquil ink colored shells tie it all together- because all beach cards need a little bit of blue!
