Card makers love a good patterned paper pack and are always looking for ideas using it! Don't hoard it…take it out, cut it up and and create gorgeous hand made cards.
Here are a bunch of great ideas for using patterned paper on your next project!

Inlaid Die Cutting
The Capture the Flag Cover Plate is PERFECT for creating a card like this! I cut several triangles at once out of different patterns and pieced them back together like a puzzle. It was such fun and you can view the Facebook Live Replay here to see how it was done!
Try patterns with a smaller scale for a card like this to really show off the patterns.

I used shimmering watercolors from Gansai Tambi and Art Philosophy for the moon and stars which is a great detail! These paints are both shimmery and wonderful and either is a great choice! The Gansai Tambi are more translucent and the Art Philosophy are a bit more opaque.

Adding a Patterned Accent
Just by cutting a strip of paper, you can quickly add a colorful patterned accent to your card. You can place it vertically or horizontally or even cut out shapes or background frame layers.

Create a Focal Point with Patterned Paper
Adding a popped up shape of patterned paper to your card can create a fantastic focal point. This piece can anchor images, word dies and sentiments in an eye-catching way!

Backgrounds with Patterned Paper
Patterned paper often makes a fantastic background! Show a lot or a little- adding patterned paper is a quick and easy way to add color, pattern and interest to any card! I love how the die cuts were cut out of the patterned paper and the coordinating stamps were stamped on the layer beneath.
I hope you are inspired by these ideas using Patterned Paper!
