Patterned Paper for Card Backgrounds

One quick and easy way to use patterned paper is to use it as the card's background. Erika's card uses this sheet of melon ice floral paper as a perfect base. By using the This Way Round Dies, she created a clean white spot to feature her sentiment and accented with a kitty.

Allison also used paper as her background layer on these two cards. I love the double patterns on her “just roll with it” card!

Pops of Color

Use patterned paper to add a pop of color! When working with one paper pack, the papers are designed to mix and match. This card uses paper for a frame to add color and interest as well as a flag to anchor the image and sentiment. Too cute!

Background and Frames

Here's another card from Allison that uses the paper as a frame element. This plaid brings a nice touch of pattern to this otherwise simple card.

Accents and Layers

Accents and layers with patterned paper add tons of color and interest. This card used a tag die cut from this Do-Si-Do sheet. The tag creates an area on the card that is eye catching and serves as a central spot for the stamped image and sentiment. Allison really got all the layers on this fun card!!

We're featuring the Potted Patterned Paper pack on these projects, which is part of the Just Roll With It Bundle. This pack features an analogous color combo of peach, orange, yellow and greens. Your card making projects will be bright and cheerful and packed with charm with these gorgeous prints! Geometric Die Cuts

One last idea for ya…this card uses our Preppy Prints Patterned Paper, which is an all-time favorite of mine! I die cut five patterns from the pack with our Cabana Tiles hexagon dies, added foam tape to the back and arranged them on my card. A die cut Today and coordinating sentiment along with a piece of patterned paper for the background layer finishes this card off. See how I created this card on this Facebook Live Stream Replay.
