Using the stamps and ink pads in the traditional way will give you a great result. You can make beautiful cards and use embellishments, layered images and foam tape to add dimension like this card.

Erika made these two cards with one color of ink on each stamp, but felt like they needed “a little something” more. So we took that challenge on a recent live and tried experimenting with a few ways to give these solid stamped images a bit more bang for the buck!

Kissing Techniques with Ink Pads on stamped lantern image

KISSING Stamping Technique

From the suggestion of one of our Live Stream Viewers, we tried the Kissing Technique with stunning results!

First, ink and stamp your image with the MISTI Stamping Tool, then ink a darker ink color (here we used Suede Shoes) to the Fan Dance Background Stamp. Then “Kiss” (or stamp) the background stamp onto the lantern stamp. This transferred a beautiful pattern onto the lantern.

There are so many stamping techniques you can try with ink pads, have you tried any of these ? What other solid stamps do you have in your crafty stash you might try this with at home? If you missed this live stream, you can watch the Facebook Replay here.
