Slimline cards are a great canvas for creating rainbows with images, stencils and backgrounds! On the hand made cards in this video, we'll look at how to stretch your 6 x 6 stencils and use them on a Slimline Card, how to create an interesting rainbow background with stamps and we'll also color and emboss gorgeous dragonfly wings! I love the stamping techniques on these cards, do you have a favorite?

A stenciled background pieces is a fun way to showcase lots of color. Even though my stencil was a standard size, I was able to do a little masking and finagling and continue the pattern of the In the Square Stencil over the full card layer.
The Slimline Essentials dies were a fun option for adding some flourish to the card. I then simply stamped my sentiment and the dragonflies in black. Don't forget their buzz-trails!!
Everyone knows I am passionate about some glimmer! I added embossing glitter on the wings of these simply colored dragonflies. They look so pretty and are dressed and ready for card excellence.
This card looks awesome with the white-on-white cover plate. I chose the Marquis Slimline Cover Plate. It adds nice texture. A word die and embossed sentiment strip were all that was needed to finish this off. It was fun laying out all the dragonflies. Using a slimline layout gives room for a bunch of them!
The Doodle Window Slimline Cover Plate is always a fun choice for highlighting bold images. Using the wonky dot stamps in the Flight of the Dragonfly Stamp Set, I stamped a bunch of overlapping dots with my rainbow color combo to create a fun effect in the little windows. Accent with a coordinating colored dragonfly and ta-da!!
This card just might be my favorite! Which is yours?
