Ways to Add Color to Butterfly in Bloom

Catherine General

The Butterfly in Bloom Stamp Set features a large line art butterfly stamp. This half butterfly, half floral burst winged image is ready to be flooded with color! There are so many ways to bring this stamp to life.

Erin Thompson

Erin embossed the butterfly image in white. She then colored in the image with a watercolor ink technique. I love the contrast of the simply, two-colored wing to the multi-colored floral wing.

This one she went all out and colored in the whole image as well as the small accompanying flower stamps with her Copic Markers. She got so much detail in all her shading. This card is a real wow and I love how she placed the extra flowers to look like they are floating away in the wind.

Melissa also used Copic Markers to color her butterfly on this super artsy take. She cut a piece of Little Black Dress Slimline paper to highlight the floral wing and added a bit of splatter to the other side. Her ombre inking with the Favorite on a Line Word Die adds a bright pop of color to this graphic card.

On this one, Melissa inked up her stamp in multiple colors to create a beautiful blend. She created a beautiful rainbow effect and then used the coordinating die to cut a window in the top layer to make a shaker! How pretty is this?
