Light Burst Slimline Three Ways! (or maybe FIVE!)

The Light Burst Slimline Die is such a fun card element. I love the old white on white effect with dies like this just to add texture to your card, but this die can create a bold statement nearly all by itself with some fun techniques. Let's look at some our Brand Ambassadors ideas.

On this card, Erin inked up the whole cover plate cut out with Juniper Mist. She laid the die over a piece of floral patterned paper from the A Little Drizzle Slimline paper pack.

The dark contrast over the pattern gives this card almost a stained glass feel. This background is so pretty. The sparkly gold word die is a great touch.

Melissa did her version with a gorgeous ink blended background. I love the splatters of ink on the white die. This one has a funky tie die feel! The change in color really create a totally different card even with the same basic elements.

Kristie's card is made with a reverse inlay technique. Each piece of the die was colored direct-to-paper with the inks and then glued down using the die frame as a guide. She then took the die off just leaving the colored pieces behind. WOW! What a cool effect. I also like her choice to use a circle die as the spot for her sentiment. That fits so well with the shape of this die.

Your Slimline Dies can also be used as Stencils! Lay your die cut over another piece of cardstock (spray on Pixie Spray to hold it in place if you desire!) and ink blend your colors over the top. Remove your “stencil” and now you have two gorgeous pieces to create a hand made card for a friend!
