We're wrapping up our Party Color Wheel 101 series by talking about the most advanced combo, Tetradic! Tetradic is also known as “double complementary” and uses two sets of complimentary colors together.
Using Tedradic Color Combos creates a lot of contrast and can be a bold statement. When making this card, we focused on highlighting one color family, Orange, and then mixed in the other pops of color for a bright cheery card.
You can see all of these cards in action on the video linked above, or head over to YouTube for the Color Wheel Playlist.
This card featured the Red-Violet color family with Be Mine, Pucker Up and Flirty Fuchsia. We used Melon Ice, from it's complimentary color family, Yellow Green, and then used a bit of Orange and Blue to add more accents of color.
Tetradic color schemes can be unexpected but will still work to create a harmonious card. It's nice to try something new so why not challenge yourself today with a double complimentary color combo?
