We just love our Cover Plate Dies over here at CPD headquarters! We appreciate their versatility and all the texture and sometimes color they can add to a card. If you have been wondering how to get the most out of yours- here are 3 Ways to Use the new Quilted Cover Plate Die!

The most traditional way to use a cover plate die like this one is to take advantage of the positive and negative space the die creates by layering it over an ink blended background.

The white die creates lovely contrast over this Lime Rickey and Cummerbund background. Just pop a accent stamp and sentiment and this card is ready to mail!

This technique is a favorite of Erika's! Inlaid die cutting! I created this using some patterned paper and pieced the accent pieces into the white die. This technique can take a little time but it is worth the effort. Look at that beautiful quilt effect!

How about something really simple? Melissa Andrew created this card by using the die cut piece as a stencil!

She blended this with a light hand for a soft bit of color and texture and the result was a perfect base for the sentiment and floral element.

The Quilted Cover Plate Die is going to be a great element on so many cards. How will you use it first?
