Choosing color combinations for layering stamps can be confusing! I'll share lots of tips and color combo ideas so you can achieve a fabulous look with layering stamps through the rainbow.
When choosing color combinations for layering stamps, once you figured out what main color you'd like to use, choose several shades of that color for the various layers.
In this video, two stamps were used to create the image, so two shades of pink, or orange or blue were needed. If you have an image that needs more than 3 layers, the same rules apply. Try different combinations of shades to see what works best with the inks you own!
You can also try turquoise with blue, coral with orange, pink with red…and so on. As long as you are using various shades of the same color, or colors that are next to each other in the rainbow, you should achieve great results!
A few recommendations:
Blue: It's a Boy, Something Borrowed, Suede Shoes
Pink: It's a Girl, Be Mine, Party Dress, Rockin' Red
Purple: Sweet Sixteen, Pixie Dust, Flirty Fuchsia, Grape Crush
Green: Melon Ice, Garden Party, Lime Rickey, Grass Skirt

These party fans were begging to be a lined up on a Slimline Card in rainbow order! I love the result.
I added two “Yay” stamps for a fun greeting. I stamped in Midnight on white cardstock for one and embossed in white on black for the second YAY. I love this look!
