Simple to Elaborate with the Peppermint Twist Coverplate

Catherine General

Cover your holiday card base with a pattern of peppermints!  The Peppermint Twist Cover Plate works like a dream paired with one of the stamp sets in the Nice List Bundle.

For this card, I did the Direct to Paper method to create Cranberry Fizz Cardsotck and used foam tape to pop up the die cut layer over it. This creates shadows and gives fabulous dimension!

I die cut Merry Christmas, embossed it with White Puff Twinkle and topped it off with a Santa hat (or is it an elf hat?) from the Nice List Stamp Set!

Kristie Goulet

Kristie really put the twist on this by using a direct to paper technique to color the negative shapes from her coverplate and pasting them back slightly offset. She also embellished each center with a little gem…I think that is pretty sweet!

Melissa Andrew

Melissa went more simple by cutting out the cover plate with white paper and just layering it over an inked background. Choosing just a few centers to emboss and layer back on gives this card an added sparkly pop!

Melissa Andrew

On this one she created a strip down one side with a few patterned papers and some Cranberry Fizz accents. She glued her die over the patterned paper strips and inlaid a few of the twists back in on the left side. This created a cleaner strip on the card front to add her elves legs and create a colorful focal point.

You’re going to love the Peppermint Twist Cover Plate and the fun it adds to your card making projects!
