Inspiration for Valentine’s Day Cards

Catherine General

It's nearly Valentine's Day! If you need to whip up a last minute card for someone you love, here is some inspiration and pointers to get you on the right track!

1. Try the emboss resist technique! White emboss some heart stamps, then ink blend over with your favorite shades of pinks and purples. Here the Say It With Love Stamp Set was used but you might also try Doodle Hearts Stamp Set.

2. Grab a stencil that says romance! The Rose Stencil is a winner for a Clean and Simple card. Blend your ink over the stencil for a gorgeous background layer and then simply stamp your sentiment over top. Here the sentiment was stamped and embossed in white EP.

3. This card is simple with a lot of embellishment and detail to make it special. The heart pattern in the Smitten Pattered Paper Pack is the statement piece for this card. Adding the “love you” stamp adds just the right sweet sentiment for your honey!

4. Try an alternative sentiment! This simple card has the sentiment as the focal point. The Isn't She Lovely Stamp Set has lots of layering options and stands on its own over the Wild Thing Background Stamp. Black and white with a pop of color is a great option for a fun Valentine.

Hope these ideas are making you feel inspired and will help you pull things from your crafty stash to make just the right last minute Valentine you needed!
