3 Cards with Heat Embossed Accents

Catherine CP Designs, CPD Ink, Embossing, Videos

I have a love affair with heat embossing. It can be used on sentiments, layers, stamped images or used sparingly in accents on your cards. In this video, we'll use Heat Embossing in three different ways as accents to take your card making up another level!

How will you incorporate these ideas into your next card making project?

Layer on several different types of embossing powder onto a word die cut. Here I embossed the sentiment with Wanderlust Embossing Glitter first. While the embossing glitter was still hot and wet, I then sprinkled on a tiny bit of Turkish Nights over the die cut and embossed again. The colored glitter added unique glitz to the die cut.

It looks GORGEOUS in person and this photo does not do it justice. Be sure to watch the video for the close ups of it.

Try a geometric background with embossing or add detail to a stamped image like the coffee cups from the Perfect Blend Stamp Set.

Try an embossed circle frame! This adds an easy grounding element to your card whether you have a plain background, use patterned paper or try a technique like this watercolor technique. Try the frame embossed in different glitters or a gold, silver or other metallic embossing color. It'll look fabulous!

I hope you are inspired by the ideas shared here, thank you for joining me!
