If you are in the Christmas countdown, like me, you may be trying to knock out a few last minute cards! I thought a little inspiration post might be just what Santa ordered! How about we look at a few cards all featuring one stamp set- Boughs and Berries.
From this year's Holiday Collection, Boughs and Berries is a great set full of greenery and elements that you may put in your holiday wreath. And they look great on a card front!
Nanette stamped the greenery and poinsettia around the border of this card and then layered a box of patterned paper from the Lumberjack Paper pack over top. Pop on the Jolly word die and this card is ready to go!
Ilina left a lot of negative space on this beauty but created so much interest by stamping and die cutting a number of the elements in the Boughs and Berries Stamp Set. Laying out the pieces before gluing is a great way to build a balanced swag. Also, using symmetry, like she did here, ensures a balanced cluster. What a great result!
Another one from Nanette here…and this one has a twist! She stamped a background using the Boughs and Berries elements and then stamped the Sandy Background mandala and embossed it in gold. She cut that out with the coordinating dies to create the medalion piece. She layered it partially on the card and then cut off the excess. What a show stopper!
Smart cookie that she is, she embossed the Jolly word die in gold and then cut it taking away the “LL's” and glued it down on Midnight Card Stock to create the word “Joy”!
This last one from Ilina is so bright and beautiful. Stamping your sentiment in the center of your card front is a good idea when you want to create a fully stamped panel. She then stamped the other elements around the sentiment from the inside to the outside edge to create a fab pattern. This single layer card is so eye catching. A couple sequins for embellishment and it's done!
Hope these cards make you feel inspired to make some last minute cards!
