You know at CP Designs we love celebrating, so lucky us that every 6 weeks we have new product releases which is the best reason to throw a party!

At the end of October, with our newly released ink and 10 years on YouTube celebration, we partied big! It was the perfect excuse for a taco bar fiesta in the office in honor of our new ink, Sangria.
With our newly released ink and 10 years on YouTube celebration on October 30, we partied big! In honor of our new ink, Sangria, we figured it was the perfect excuse for a Taco Bar Fiesta in the office. We took a break from release festivities, I poured everyone a tasty glass of Sangria and had a fabulous lunch.

Speaking of Sangria…let's talk about the Sangria everyone wants for their stamping projects. I gathered some of the Creative Team's projects from the Retro Winter Release that featured this gorgeous ink color. These fabulous projects use Sangria in different ways and will hopefully bring some fun and inspiration to your inbox today!
CP Inks are water based so they are fantastic for watercolored backgrounds. You can get many shades of Sangria (or any of our ink colors!) depending on how much water you add.

Looking for a more concentrated, darker color? Use an ink refill, squeeze out a drop or two on an acrylic block or craft mat and use that as your coloring palette.
CP Inks do not dry immediately when hitting the paper, they take a few seconds to dry…because of this, ink blending is a dream! Flick on some water for fun water splotches and add some snowflakes and a sentiment for a striking look.

Our inks work beautifully for those ever popular multi-stamp stamp sets! Here I used Faithful Flutterings with Rose Petals, then Sangria, then Queen for a Day.
You can achieve many shades of the same color when ink blending (this cup is ink blended!). Add more ink to your ink blending tool and ink blend over the same section several times and fade off to achieve this look.

You can see this in action on these four cards.

GOLD Embossing over a Sangria ink blended and water splotched background? Incredible!

Snowflakes stamped in Hot Tub on an ombre ink blended Sangria background looks pretty incredible!

Ink blend, then die cut for a sentiment pop! Make this piece into a shaker card for more fun. In case you missed the Live Stream on Youtube where I made a shaker card with the Well Hey There Die, here it is!

One more ink blended background for you. I'm crazy for this card using all four of our new ink colors! Sangria, Hot Tub, Orange Peel and Pink Champagne.

One last look at Sangria..here it is stamped and die cut. This color is so deep and rich and will be a gorgeous addition to so many projects!
So grab your inks, your blending brushes, inks and go have some fun today!
