Hello Everyone! It is Tracie and I am excited to be here on Catherine's blog. Today I'm going to show you how easy it is to create your own fun backgrounds using small stamp images.
The stamp sets of focus are Hook Line and Sinker and She Sells Seashells, both from the Unsinkable release. There are several cute images from these stamp sets that can easily be used to create amazing backgrounds.
Card One: I love the image found in the She Sells Seashells stamp set that resembles sun rays. The buoy found in the Hook, Line and Sinker stamp set fits just right in the center of the rays. What a fun background idea, right?!
On white cardstock stamp in alternating colors (Skylight, Daydream and Eucalyptus) the rays and the buoys. They are easy to line up in rows using stamping blocks. There will be openings that are large enough to stamp a small image (Twilight). I used one of the dots from the Love Grows stamp set. White heat emboss the sentiment from the Hook, Line and Sinker stamp set on mirrors cardstock.
Assemble your card. Add a background layer using Mirrors cardstock. The sentiment strip is popped up with foam tape. Finish things off by adding a couple of sequins from the Big Sur sequin mix.
Card Two: Create a floral background using the small shell detail image found in the She Sells Seashells stamp set. Stamp pattern on white cardstock using the following colors: Coral Cabana, Samba and Rockin' Red. Stamp a few small dots in Twilight. White heat emboss sentiment on Mirrors cardstock and die-cut with a circle.
Assemble your card. Add a background layer using Mirrors cardstock. Attach sentiment with foam tape.
Card Three: Create a background using the wave stamp found in the Hook, Line and Sinker stamp set. Stamp pattern on white cardstock using the following colors: Skylight, Daydream and Juniper Mist. Stamp the cute little crab on white cardstock using Rockin' Red ink and die-cut. White heat emboss sentiment on Mirrors cardstock.
Assemble your card. Attach sentiment panel and crab with foam tape.
Now it is your turn. Share with us what you were inspired to create and please hashtag #catherinepoolerdesigns, so we can admire it and leave you some love.
Have a beautiful day. =) Tracie
