Watercolored Love Grows with Ilina

Catherine CPD Ink, Encouragement, Floral, Watercolor

Hi everyone, Ilina here today taking over Catherine's blog. Did you know that Catherine's inks are amazing for watercoloring? The colors are so vibrant even when used for watercoloring due to the high pigments in the ink pads.

For my card today I used Love Grows stamp set. I started by stamping “You Make Me Smile” repeatedly on my panel from Premium White card stock and used Midnight ink. After I was done,  I set my panel aside. I stamped the images from the set onto Bristol Smooth paper (I used Koh-i-nor brand due to the bright white color of it) using Midnight ink (this ink is waterproof, hence perfect for using for watercoloring, as well it's alcohol marker friendly).

I used Rose Petals, Skyline, Spruce and Green Tea to color the flowers and leaves. Once they were done, I fussy cut them, as I wanted the white border around them to be minimal.

Once the flowers were done, I used the Smile die and die cut it 3 times using Premium Midnight card stock. I applied Versamark on one and embossed it with Wow! Clear embossing powder. I repeated the process 3 times. After the embossing powder was dry I adhered all 3 die cuts together to create dimensional sentiment.

I cut a circle from vellum and adhered it to my white panel ( 3 3/4″ x 5 1/4″). Next I arranged the flowers and adhered the Smile die cut. To finish off my card I adhered the panel onto top folding card from Midnight card stock.

Thank you for joining me today and hope you are inspired to create something.
