Have you ever been instantly inspired when paging through a magazine and seeing a photograph or illustration? That exact thing happened to me! I saw an article or advertisement that had a symmetrically arranged, dainty floral display with soft blues and pinks, and new I had to recreate the look.

I started with a watercolor cardstock panel cut to 4.25×5.5″. Onto this, I stamped the pretty floral arrangements from the Grateful Hearts Stamp Set in Midnight Ink. I started on one end, and then flipped the panel and stamped the exact same arrangement on the other side, working my way to the middle of the panel. I then used a water brush and colored the images in with Green Tea, Skylight, Polished and Shea Butter Inks. Here's how the finished panel turned out:

I then die cut the Thanks Word Die twice from Midnight Cardstock, stacked and glued them together and added that to the center of the floral image. The panel was then adhered to a card base and I finished by rounding the corners and knotting the top with some black string.

Once in a great while, my projects turn out how I envisioned them and this card design closely resembles the whimsical look of the inspiration (due to copyright laws I could not photograph my inspiration piece, sorry!) This card could be recreated with brown ink and the darker spa colors, or gray ink and the Spring Fling ink colors for a totally different feel!
