Watercolored Grateful Heart with Ilina

Catherine CP Designs, Embossing, Floral, Gallery, Projects, Techniques

Hi everyone, Ilina here, taking over Catherine’s blog today! If you are like me and love coloring, then you love the Grateful Heart stamp set! This is a 6″x 8″ set full of awesomeness.

IMG_0777For my card today I started with a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel of watercolor paper and stamped the florals on the top and bottom with Versamark ink. Using Catherine’s 2 1/2″ x 6 1/8″ grid block makes lining up of the images a breeze! Once stamped I used Wow! White embossing powder.

I used All that Jazz, Black Jack and Lime Rickey inks to color the image. I made my palette by smooshing some ink on acrylic block and then picked it up using a water brush. When I was done coloring I set my image aside to dry (you can use heat tool to speed up the process, but I didn’t want to mess with the embossed images).

IMG_0774Once it was dry I used Midnight ink to stamp the sentiment and quickly applied Wow! clear embossing powder and heat set it. I added Mustard Nuvo Drops and set it aside to dry (again).

Once my watercolored panel was completely dry, I used piece of fun foam to adhere it to a Sunshine note card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
