Hi, Friends! Thanks for stopping by today. It's Kelly here. I'm excited to be on Catherine's blog today sharing this card that is ALL THINGS FALL!!!
Fall is my favorite season, and I'm not even a coffee drinker, so there's that. But also, LEAVES! I'm glad I live in the south where I can watch the trees' leaves change their colors and then fall to the ground in a giant blanket of crunch.
Let's start with the background. I smooshed some CP inks on to an acrylic block, used a water brush, and then applied the inks on to a piece of watercolor cardstock. I let it dry and then went to work on the leaves.
I stamped out tons of leaves using various ink colors. Some of them I covered with a few layers of versmark ink and then covered them with clear embossing powder, to make them really shiny and thick.
And then on some of the leaves, I added some Aladdin embossing powder, for a gold sparkly look!
After all the leaves were finished, I die cut them out and then arranged them around a cut 4.25 x 5.5 inch card panel. Most of them I glued flat on to the panel, but some of them I mounted with foam tape to pop them up off the panel, giving some variation and visual interest to the card.
**Here's my advice on creating a wreath card–Always cut more pieces than you think you'll need!
I stamped a sentiment in black ink, directly on to the panel. I also stamped the last part of the sentiment on white cardstock, trimmed it down, and then mounted that strip on to the card panel with foam tape as well.
I cut and scored a 4.25 x 5.5 inch card base and glued the panel on to the base to finish off the card!

Thanks for stopping by today and happy crafting!
