In this post, I’m going to show you how to make some simple holiday cards. But first… Happy November, my friends! Hope you had a happy and safe Halloween. It was a bit different in the Pooler household since the kids are getting older and are off at college, parties, etc…Randall and I were in the spirit, though and got dressed up. I didn’t get a pic of him, though!
I dressed up as one of the Heathers from the movie Heathers with a couple of friends and met them at the very popular, traditional Haunted House down the street put on my the local high school theater kids.
Would you have guessed who we were if you saw us last night?
Simple Holiday Cards you can Make With Patterned Paper
Halloween is over, Thanksgiving is around the corner and by then many stampers have their holiday cards done…have you been working on yours? Here’s a great idea for mass producing using Patterned Paper!
The Love, Doves and Poinsettia Patterned Paper pack works beautifully with the Santa Approved and Holiday Charms stamp sets and works great for quick holiday cards for the upcoming season.
Don’t be afraid to cut into your patterned paper! This card was made from a 5-1/2 x 4-1/4″ cardstock base and a striped strip was added along the base.
The card layer was cut at 3-3/4 x 5″ and the patterned paper was cut into three strips of varying sizes for interest.
The second card is the same design, with a wider piece of patterned paper on the card base.
The images from the Holiday Charms stamp set can be stamped and die cut quickly and easily if you don’t cut your dies apart. Here’s a video I shared showing how to do this.
