Halloween Card Set with Tracie

Hello Everyone! It is Tracie and I am excited to be here today on Catherine's blog. I am sharing a set of clean and simple Halloween cards created with items from the Kind of Batty release with a traditional Halloween color scheme is.

This set of five cards was inspired by the Spiderweb Background and the Going Batty Background. I thought they would be fun to decorate, still maintaining a clean and simple feel. I stamped three bats and two spiderwebs on white cardstock (3-3/4 x 5 inches) using Twilight ink. I then took another five pieces of white cardstock (4 x 5-1/4 inches) and applied ink to the edges using Orange Twist and Grape Crush. Now is also a good time to get your card bases ready. I used Midnight cardstock and made them all top folding A2 cardbases (4-1/4 x 5-1/2 inches).

Happy Halloween | Card one is super simple with only an added heat embossed sentiment. All layers are adhered with a tape runner.

Boo |  Card two includes a clear heat embossed sentiment on Midnight cardstock and a witch's hat die-cut. The witch's hat is stamped in Grape Crush ink and colored in Grape Crush and Orange Twist inks using a blender pen. The sentiment strip and hat are adhered with foam tape and all other layers are adhered with a tape runner.

Creepy, Spooky, Boo! | Card three includes some fun die-cut bats (Spooky Hollow Die Set) using glitter paper. The sentiments are arranged in a fun way on the card front and stamped in Orange Twist ink and Grape Crush ink. All layers are adhered with a tape runner and the bats are adhered with liquid glue.

Happy Halloween | Card four includes a sentiment stamped in Grape Crush ink and some fun witch's shoes die-cuts. The witch's shoes are stamped in Black Jack ink and colored using copic markers. The card layers are adhered with a tape runner and the shoes are adhered with foam tape.

Trick or Treat | Card five includes a sentiment panel along with some fun die-cut spiders. I used the two smallest oval dies in the Ovals and Flowers die set to create the sentiment panel. I thought the inverted scallops coordinated well with the spiderweb. The sentiment is stamped in Orange Twist ink. The solid oval is then cut in Midnight cardstock. The two layers are adhered together with tape runner. Then I stamped several cute spiders in Grape Crush ink and Midnight ink, then die-cut. The card layers are adhered with a tape runner. The sentiment panel is adhered with foam tape and I also trimmed a little bit off of the right edge. I added five of the spiders, which are adhered with foam tape.

Most of the individual stamped images and sentiments are from the Everything But the Broom stamp set.

These cards are also fabulous for inspiration for fall and holiday cards.  Make sure to tag #catherinepoolerdesigns, so we can see how you tweaked these designs to suit you!

Thank you and have a beautiful day. – Tracie
