Hi everyone; Chrissie here! The holidays will be upon us before we know it and I am already in the spirit of the season! My card today is fairly simple, but with the amazing background stamp I used, it really makes the card shine!
Stamp the background image onto a piece of watercolor cardstock using Versamark watermark ink. Emboss with Liquid Platinum embossing powder and activate it with a heat gun. Once it is embossed, trim it down to 4 x 5.25 inches.
Watercolor the images in using CP ink. Stamp onto an acrylic block and add color using a waterbrush (or a paintbrush and water). Watercolor in entire image and then set it aside to dry.
Stamp NOEL onto another piece of watercolor cardstock using Versamark. Heat emboss the image again. Watercolor this as well, using the same technique. Once it is dry, die cut it out using the Nested Labels dies.
Now it's time to assemble the card! Trim a piece of Midnight cardstock to 4.25 x 11 inches and score at 5.5 inches and fold. This will make a top folding card. Adhere the background image to the Midnight card base. Trim down a piece of the Midnight, Love, Doves & Poinsettias patterned paper to 5.5 by about .50 inches. Adhere to the lower portion of the card. Add the NOEL sentiment on top of it using foam squares.
This is a quick and simple card, but since that background is detailed and just beautiful, the card really works!
