One Layer Christmas Card with Melissa

Catherine Christmas, CP Designs, CPD Ink, Gallery, Projects, Stamp of Approval

Hi, everyone! It's Melissa from Mel's Card Corner.  I'm thrilled to be guest posting today!  I'm sharing a card made using products from the recent Home for the Holidays Stamp of Approval collection.

One of my favorite types of holiday cards to make is one layer cards because they are great for mass producing, an important consideration when designing holiday cards. Another reason I love one layer cards is the fact they go through the postal system so well and don't require any extra postage. There are lots of amazing one layer card options which can be created with this collection.

For this card, I started by creating a top-folding card base using Catherine's Premium White Cardstock. I stamped the Jingle All the Way sentiment from the Festive Trimmings stamp set centered about a third of the way down the card using Midnight ink.

Next, I stamped the adorable little jingle bell using Rockin' Red ink. I used Lime Rickey to add the little bow at the top of the bell. I used a Copic Multiliner and a straight edge to draw the hanger from the top of the bell to the bottom of the Y. If you don't have a Copic Multiliner, any fine tip black marker will work. You could even use a fine point Sharpie. For a bit of embellishment, I added a layer of Clear Overlay Sparkle pen over the jingle bell.

I hope you've enjoyed this quick and easy one layer card. If you're pressed for time and need to create a lot of holiday cards in a short period of time, a one layer card is a great way to go!
