ORDERING:  Our collections sometimes sell out really quickly, so be sure you are on the WAIT LIST so you can grab your collection Wednesday morning!

Oh, by the way, it's Erika, here!

When I saw CP's cards she made for today, I could hear jingle bells…all the way! (What does that mean, anyhow??) I grabbed two cards off of her desk and just went nuts!  I always loved a good compare and contrast assignment in school, so she let me come in to share all about these beauties.

One of the best things of our SOA collections is that we work hard to make the pieces compliment each other, so you can mix-and-match 'til your heart's content!  The Home for the Holidays Collection is no exception.  These stamps, dies and extras all together, make beautiful carols together!

These two cards use stamps from Festive Trimmings Stamp Set, Christmas Cookies Stamp Set, and the Holiday Mix Sentiment sets.  Catherine also used the thinnest cut-out from the Merry Christmas word die cut from Midnight Card.

This is where it gets HOLLY and JOLLY!  Using different techniques and ink colors produce two completely different looks!  One is traditional, classic and beautiful (that's the holly) where the other is modern, sparkly, and has a non-traditional color twist (yep, the jolly)!

On this card, she just used the “Christmas” die cut and mixed in a stamped “Happy” from the Holiday Mix Sentiment Set.  Using a classic palette of Lime Rickey, Rockin' Red, Grass Skirt, and some Melon Ice pops; Catherine created a cool angled decorative background with floral elements from the Holiday Trimmings Set.

How about that sweet little border at the bottom?  So cute!  It's from the Cozy Borders Stamp Set from this collection as well.

Can you even with that little bird?  As a Christmas cookie, he is precious, but color him in and he takes on a whole other personality.  Here he feels folky and sweet, don'tcha think?

On the second card, Catherine went for a different take.  Seriously, I cannot decide which I like best!

On this card she created a watercolor technique background with Party Dress, Lime Rickey, and Aquatini.  The tone-on-tone effect with the snowflakes is so pretty and who doesn't love ink splatter?  The die cute Merry left from the card above, fit in here perfectly.

For the background, she edged the card stock with Versamark and embossed with Wanderlust to create her own faux glitter paper.  All the white space with those pops of a bright, alternative color scheme give this card it's modern feel.

Aren't they both so pretty?!  No matter which is more your style, holly or jolly, you can easily take the elements from the Home for the Holidays SOA and make holiday magic!

So tell me…which one is YOUR favorite??
