Do you have any friends with Birthdays in October? My oldest will turn 19 in October…hmmmm…she'd get a kick out of this card! I hope she's not reading this blog post. I might have to make a few more, because I have several friends that would appreciate the humor as well, even though they don't have October birthdays, I think it would be appropriate any time of the year for the right recipient.
I had a blast creating this card and pulled out the Chevron Cheer stamp set which I hadn't used in a while.
The Chevron oval stamp makes a fabulous backdrop, or anchor for the hats and boots and I love the contrast in color with the light blue (It's a Boy) and Flirty Fuchsia.
The boots and hat were stamped in Midnight ink (which is waterproof) on Watercolor Paper. Then I smooshed Flirty Fuchsia, Grape Crush and Black Jack ink onto an acrylic block and used a Blender Pen to color them in.
Dimensional adhesive gave them a great pop and the card was finished off with the fun spider and Nuvo Drops.
Once I finished this card, I seriously ran around the office and made every single person here look, ooh and ahhh over it! lol…then I ran back to my office and hopped on Facebook Live and made another card with the layered roses from Rose Garden Stamp Set and spa colored inks using the same layout idea.
Hope you are inspired, thanks for hanigin' with me!
