Platinum Cupcakes with Lydia

Catherine CP Designs, Projects, Stamp of Approval

Hello there everyone! It's Lydia here and I'm so excited to be here over on Catherine's blog.

Today I have a card to share using some of the products from the Celebrate Friends collection.

Just how super cute are these little cupcakes from I Eat Cake Stamp Set?!?!

I started by die cutting a few of the coordinating cupcake dies out of white cardstock, doing it this way helped me line up the images so they fit properly. I firstly stamped all of the cupcake wrappers using embossing ink and then heat set them using platinum embossing powder. I then added the toppings, I used Over Coffee Ink for the parts of the cake that were showing and then a rainbow array of icing – these being It's A Girl, Sweet Sixteen, Mint To Be, It's A Boy and Bellini.

I then took a piece of white cardstock and cute the pretty scallop border from Bordering Sweet Die Set at the bottom. I stamped a sentiment into place on this piece using embossing ink and then heat set again with platinum embossing powder. I then adhered this piece onto a card base using foam tape and added the cupcakes into place using foam tape.

Cute huh?!?! And I just love that sentiment!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll see you again soon!
