I'm thrilled to annouce our November/December Guest Designer today. She is someone we all know and love, a long time member….WELCOME INGRID!
“Hello! I’m Ingrid and am so excited to share some creations with you over the next several weeks. I am originally from San Francisco. I am now living for a few years in southwest Germany. I've been fortunate to share my life for the past seventeen years with my hubby Michael and am step-mom to two of the sweetest & beautiful girls – Rachel and Allyson. Allyson is going to make me an Omi (grandma) in March – not sure how I feel about that…lol!
I love all things outdoors, redwood and forest related (did I mention we live in the Black Forest)! A lot of that translates into my art. I'm a sucker for any nature stamp – especially Stampscapes. I would say I have three distinct styles of stamping – Scenic, Technique and Clean & Simple. When not stamping, I like to watercolor botanicals, and am just starting to dabble with palette knife oil paintings – mostly landscapes.
When I'm not working on card projects for my blog, classes & design teams, you will usually see me handling all things tech, blog and social media related for my hubby's travel agency. We travel a lot, which is tons of fun, sometimes stressful, and I've even been known on many an occasion to bring my crafty supplies along with me!
I'm a tech/social media junkie – so I'm always online. And of course you can find me at my blog – The Creative Grove. I’m looking forward to being inspired by you all & creating projects and videos for you!
See you in the challenges!”
Let's take a look at some of Ingrid's beautiful work…
I met Ingrid in person several years ago when we were both Stampin' Up demonstrators. We hit it off immediately and danced around like a bunch of fools for a few minutes, chatted and then we were off. We didn't get much time together.
A month or so ago, Ingrid let me know she was in my area. I just had to have her creative genius in my stamp room and luckily she had a couple hours to spare.
She spent a few hours with me, we talked incessantly, did some stamping and she was off. I love this lady and I'm beyond thrilled that she is joining us!
Do yourself a favor. Grab a mug of your favorite hot (or cold depending on where you live ) drink and head on over to Ingrid's blog. Seriously, plan to spend a while, you'll thank me later!
Ingrid's style will bring something completely different to the DT samples. We can't wait to see what she creates!
Please give Ingrid a big SN welcome!
