The end of summer and a challenge!

Catherine Projects, StampNation Highlights

Screen Shot 2015-08-21 at 3.54.34 PMIt's not “officially” the last weekend of the summer yet, but it sure does feel that way to me!  Randall and the girls just left for a weekend camping trip – yep!  48 hours to myself!

I am absolutely head over heels for those four Pooler Peeps…but daggone I'm excited for a weekend to do what I want to do.  Yes.  ME.

I'll be very ready for them to come home on Sunday, but I can't believe it'll be the last day before the big girls go back to school! (You may know that Eva goes to a year round school and has been back since early July….she gets three weeks off in October, though).

Thanks for “letting” me take this week off from posting new videos – I had great summer plans and intentions with the girls, but in the end, all they wanted to do was bake cakes and chill.  Oh, and we did a bit of back to school shopping.

Looking back, we really had a jam packed summer!  We went to the beach for a week in July -can you believe I was working hard that week with Michele (CAS-ual Fridays) on some Holiday Stamp Sets for the next box while I sat on the beach??!!

We went again for a quick trip last weekend.  We've always loved the beach and we are only a couple hours away, but now that the girls are older we love it even more.  The NC Coast kinda has our hearts.

The summer began with a dance recital and the dancing continued all summer long with night classes and summer camps.  I can hardly keep them out of that studio!  Alana is on pointe now and she brings tears to my eyes when I watch her dance.

In their “spare time”, all three girls were on our neighborhood swim team.   I think this was their 7th year.

The thing that occupied most of our thoughts all summer long, though, was the Stamp of Approval Collection.

We are still pinching ourselves because it was much more of a hit that we could have ever imagined.  It's been really exciting for us to see photos and hear from the ladies from around the globe that got in on the first wave (before it sold out in one hour and what…a minute?) and are receiving their boxes and making amazing projects with the goodies in the box.

Many of you are asking me about the Holiday Box.  YES!  It's coming soon!

Stamp of Approval is going to be a QUARTERLY program, but because of timing, the next box is going to be less than three months from the first one.

We are waiting for DT samples now, so watch for sneak peeks beginning the end of September.

The box will go on sale before the middle of October.  If you are not on the Wait List yet, click here to join so you will be the first to be notified when the box goes on sale.  You will also be added to my newsletter list and get tons of great, exclusive tutorials.

We ordered MORE boxes this time, but it will be while supplies last again.  As a bonus, the first 25% of orders will get a special goodie in their box, too!  🙂

peekBefore I go, I wanted to share some peeks of the SN DT projects for this week's challenge.  They kinda blew me away.

Kristie used the Curtis Background and made a cool ombre backdrop for her tag.
SN Tag CU ACopeAlison created this ridiculously amazing shaker card with so many amazing elements.  I mean, just look at this peek!

I see some inlaid die cutting in an unexpected place, creative use of the stamps (the turquoise flower with the swirls stamped on it – GENIUS!), the partially embossed “thanks”….so many great ideas and techniques on just this one card.

SOA tagAnd Heather's soft and subtle tag card using the “Eva's Favorite Flowers” stamp set.  LOVE how she stamped the flowers!

There are several more DT samples that I did not peek for you…as well as members' challenge entries that have gone up over the past few days.

If you're not a StampNation Member yet, we'd love for you to join us.  You can learn more about it here.

I did not “draw” these stamp sets, but I had a hand in the ideas for them and I can't tell you how incredible it is to see the ideas come to life!  Amazing.

I can't wait to see what YOU do with these products!

Have an amazing weekend and I will see you on Monday with a new video…after I send my 10th and 7th graders off for their first days of school!
