Zig Real Brush Markers Christmas Card Video Tutorial
I don't usually make Christmas cards in July….I spend all of late summer and fall making them, so I usually do NOT want to pick up holiday stamps at any other time of the year.
But StampNation‘s Christmas in July challenge got my mojo flowin' – I think mostly because of the color palette (you know how I love my pink snowflakes!!!)
This card was super fun to watercolor with the Zig Markers…seriously…I had way too much fun. I'm not an expert colorist and I'm finding they're just really easy to use and I am loving the results.
In this video, I also have to overcome a stamping obstacle or two and I love what the result of my tweaks were! Ok…I'll stop talking and start showing!
So I'm compiling quite a few posts and videos on the Zig Markers and I thought I'd link them here for you:
- Click here for my post comparing card stock and showing you the colors I got started with!
- Click here for my post on the Zig Clean Color Markers, Distress Markers and Spectrum Aqua Markers.
- Click here for a really easy Watercoloring Technique with the Zig Clean Color Markers.

Here's a little peek at the Dream Team's projects for this challenge…lots of goodness!
And a peek at my second (YES! I made TWO Christmas cards. I couldn't stop with this amazing color palette!) card – video coming later tonight to SN!
I hope you are inspired to make a non-traditional Christmas card in July!
I hope this video also encourages you to look at ways to color your own embellishments, experiment and look at your greeting stamps and mix sentiments and selectively stamp parts of sentiments!
A few months ago, I travelled to Denver to film a class for Craftsy. If you aren't familiar with Craftsy, it's an amazing site with a TON of great classes on everything from Woodworking to Cakes to Quilting to Painting…and more….
I filmed in their studio for 3 days and I have to tell you, it was an incredible experience. The staff and crew are wonderful…accommodating, easy to work with, encouraging…I could go on.
My class comes out SOON! I mean….really, really soon.
And I get to giveaway a spot to one of my viewers for FREE!
I've only seen this class from behind the desk, so I'm waiting on pins and needles to see how it comes out.
