Isha Gupta joined our StampNation family in August of 2014. She immediately stood out because of her tremendous talent. We quickly scooped her up as one of our designers for Technique Toolbox and then asked her to join our design team in February of this year.

Isha has been a wonderful addition to our team. She's always throwing one technique or another into her designs, yet she's able to keep them CAS. That takes talent!

Let's learn more about Isha Gupta.

Hi, I’m Isha. I’m a wife, mother and passionate (paper) crafter. I was born and grew up in India, where I studied biology and chemistry. I have been living in Switzerland with my husband and two daughters for 19 years now.

Besides crafting, I love to cook, sing, read, paint… As a nature lover, I enjoy going for long walks too.

What do you feel is your biggest accomplishment? (Can be in life or paper crafting)

One of my biggest accomplishments was to learn German as it’s so different from my mother tongue…lol ☺ I feel it’s very important to learn the language of the country you’re living in to integrate.
In the paper crafting world, I’m grateful to be a World Card Making Day 2014 Contest Winner. Furthermore, I’m a published designer for many magazines in the US and UK. Working with some awesome crafting companies (e.g. IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko, Faber-Castell, Lil’Inker Designs, etc.) has also been a wonderful experience.

How were you first introduced to paper crafting?

About four years ago, I was browsing on YouTube when I accidently discovered paper crafting videos! At that time, I had absolutely no idea about this world of stamping. Little did I know what buying three inks and two stamps would lead to… It’s been a fun journey and I’ve met lots of wonderful people whom I call friends now.

What is your signature style? Show us one card that shows your signature style.

Well, I actually don’t know what my signature style is but I tend more towards CAS style. I like to experiment with techniques, so perhaps you can say I am a technique loving crafter. I love colors, so you will see lots of colors and coloring using various mediums in my creations.  Isha Gupta 3

Where do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration everywhere (magazines, display-windows, clothes). Usually, I get inspired by the product I’m working with (stamp, die, inks…) My creative process involves experimenting with my products and playing around till I’m happy with the result.

Please share with us 3 of your favorite cards from the past year. Isha Gupta 4
