I had the base of this card (minus the birthday greeting) sitting around since I wrote my book, Life Scraps. I made this card from leftovers from one of the scrapbook pages I made. It was a great base, but was missing something and I guess that's why I've never posted it!
A few weeks ago I went to Archiver's with my friend, Vicki, and I spent the night practicing coloring with my Copic Markers. I colored and cut out this little boy (image is from a how to book I purchased, it is a digital image).
One day on my desk, the card base and the boy were out at the same time and I was like wh-wh- WHAT!? It's like peanut butter and jelly! Bees and honey. Kids and crying! (whoops, can you tell I've spent a lot of time with my kids lately, haha!).
They just GO TOGETHER!
With Stampin' Up's new Circle Framelits, this card would be really easy to make. You can add stars, hearts or more circles instead of the stars. Instead of the boy, there are some great images that would look nice here such as Crazy Mixed Up Love or any of the flowers from Backyard Basics (these have matching framelits!)
As always, I hope I can inspire you to use my ideas to expand your paper crafting skills and think about using my card ideas with stamps and supplies that you already own.
Let me know if you have any questions and get stamping, friend!
