Build-A-Bear Birthday party 50s style!

Catherine Projects

Hello Stamper Friends!  Well, the sleepover birthday party last night was a success!  The kids had a great time, were very well behaved, and were asleep by 11 pm!

I feel like the Kool-Aid mom sometimes…because I'm a Stampin' Up demo, I can do amazing crafts because I have so many craft supplies.  All those craft supplies are a business expense (LOVE that!) and we get to play and have fun with it all.

Since we were doing a 50s soda shop theme, we did record cake toppers.  I punched out black cardstock with my 1 3/4″ circle punch, then did punched out 1″ real red cardstock circle for the inside.  Then, I used my Crop-O-Dile to punch the center.  Anna used the Signo White Gel Pen to make markings on the records.  It was a real team effort and the kids had a ball helping me make these!

The girls were kept busy for about an hour making Build-A-Bears.  They punched out the bears, then clothes and dressed their bears.  Even daddy got in on the fun!

We then decorated cd tins, used the Crop-O-Dile again to punch holes through the metal (I heard hubby exclaim, wow that cuts through like buttah!) and Viola!  The kids had a little purse to store their Build-A-Bears in!

I hope everyone has a terrific Sunday, and let me know if you need help creating projects for your child's birthday…or if you'd like me to bring my stuff and do the party for you!  I'm for hire 😉
