I had my New Catalog and Sale-A-Bration kick off Open House this weekend and it was so much fun!
I thought I’d let you in on the projects we made. They were a hit, I believe!
This one I got inspired from someone’s blog…not sure who’s. It’s an 8 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ peice of Very Vanilla Cardstock scored at 2 3/4″ on each side. We put it through the texure plates, my new favorite Stampin’ Up toy! (besides the corduroy buttons!).
We used Fundamental Phrases and the Sale-A-Bration set, Botanical Blooms. Check the gallery for more samples with Botanical Blooms and add your own as well!
This was a popular card. We used the Scallop envelope Big Shot Die, Polka Dot Punches and Raspberry Tart DSP!
There is an exact science to using the Scallop Envelope Die. You have to get just the right thickness so that the score lines get scored and the cut lines get cut. I found that using this order works:
- cutting plate
- crease pad
- TWO shims (using one didn’t cut the cardstock completely and I had to finish it with scissors)
If you must have one of these babies all to yourself, you can hop over to www.catherinepooler.stampinup.net and place an online order, directly shipped to you AND get a free catalog in your order!
Of course, I had door prizes!
The winners are:
- Prints Pattern Pack- Rebecca Mitchell
- From the Garden- Gina Scott
- Rub-ons- Monica Yates
- In Color Asst. Cardstock- Susan Arnold
