The girls and I started making some cutie stuff for Halloween. I was inspired when I went to Convention and saw these candy cups demonstrated on stage. I get so many terrific ideas when I attend Stampin' Up events…the next one is on Nov. 8 in Va. Beach…let me know if you want to join me! Demonstrators along with customers are invited to attend!
This project is quick and fun…and cheap! The candy cup is made from 2″ of a toilet paper roll, or if you're like my husband and think that is totally gross, you can use a paper towel roll, LOL!
I cut 2 pieces of our new Ghostly Greetings DSP to a notch over 2″ x 5 1/4. I ran my SNAIL along the top and bottom, breaking my rule of “a little goes a long way” and used quite a bit…then I just adhered it to the cardboard. For the inside piece, add some SNAIL, roll it up and stick it inside.
I used my scallop circle punch to punch out a piece of coordinating cardstock to adhere to the bottom. I ran a tad bit of Crystal Effects around the rim, then stuck it to my scallop circle. Next punch a hole through a strip of DSP and the cup for the handle.
Viola! You have a cute candy cup! And if you make a bunch of them, you have a candy cup tree!
I wrapped a piece of the DSP around the vase, added a ribbon and a coordinating stamp and scallop punch, then the kids filled the vase with Peppermint Patties.
BTW- Just so you don't think I'm a nut…I was able to figure out how to write a post and schedule it to publish in the future! So even though we are in Disney World, I am able to post every couple days to share stampin' stuff with you!
