Stampin’ Up’s Well Scripted- Embossed! Cards and Projects ClubFebruary 4th, 2010 Posted on February 4th, 2010, 3 responses.Hello Friends! ahhh…the kids went back to school today. What an interesting, unexpected vacation and I know you northerners are totally cracking up that 5″ of snow on Saturday had the kids out of school through Wednesday! Certainly not how I grew up in Upstate NY! anyway…. My friend Amy brought me some scrapbooking magazines last week and while perusing, I got inspired to make this card! You can see the original scrapbook page from Scrapbooks, Etc., in the video. I love the “peek-a-boo” look and I’m cooking up some more projects using this idea. Aint it cool? ;) Stampin’ Tips: I embossed the greeting by stamping Happy Birthday from the Well Scripted stamp set in White Craft Ink, poured on my White Embossing Powder, then I heated it with my Stampin’ Up Heat Tool. Before stamping, be sure to wipe down your cardstock with the Embossing Buddy, it will remove the static from your cardstock so the Embossing Powder only sticks to the stamped image. One thing to think about though, the white powder in the Embossing Buddy can make a bit of a smudge on your Black cardstock, so for club, I am going to change this card base to Close to Cocoa to make it a bit more user-friendly. (and yes, that smudge on the bottom is totally bugging me now that I keep looking at it! yikes!) If you are a Cards and Projects Club member, we will be making this on Sunday or Monday. Be sure to register here for your session and if you haven’t joined us before, I invite you to come have some fun! Not local to Raleigh? You can still participate and get all the supplies to make this and 2 more projects when you join the Online Cards and Projects club! The skinny here.

Happy Stamping Everyone! Razzle Dazzle Stamp Set and Razzleberry Lemonade Desiger Series PaperFebruary 1st, 2010 Posted on February 1st, 2010, no responses.Hey, friends! Thanks for checking in today! I was hoping to have a video ready for today, but the kids are home from school because of icy roads and looking back at the weekend I have to laugh. We did almost nothing! How long has it been since we’ve done that? I could have gotten so much done, but we chose to just hang out. all . weekend. long. So today I dug down and have some cards I’ve done over the past few months using the Razzle Dazzle Stamp set. It was a new set in July and it waw HOT when it first came out….then, we got new goodies and Razzle Dazzle went to the bottom of the stack of stamps. You will see it is a great choice for card making and scrapbooking! In true Stampin’ Up style you will see the images from the stamp set all through the Designer Series Paper. This sample is a quick, simple card to put together…try a strip of Designer Series Paper (or a couple if you’d like!) offset with a stamped image, circle punched and backed with a scallop circle punch: My recommendations for basic coordinated Razzle Dazzle Projects:
Optional Add-ons: Don’t forget, every $50 purchase, you get a free Sale-a-Bration item! My recommendations to go with these goodies would be:
Try a strip of Designer Series Paper to anchor your design, add circle punches in coordinating colors and a stamped image popped up with dimensionals:

Tiny Tags Stamp Set, Welcome Neighbor Paper and Inspiration Video…oh, and a couple Christmas GiftsDecember 26th, 2009 Posted on December 26th, 2009, 3 responses.Hello Stamper Friends! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! I know we did…one of our highlights was the gifts my mother (the crafty-sewing one:) made for us. She made matching vests, hats and mittens for the girls, matching aprons with pot holders for the girls and I and Snuggies for the girls…and Kenly! Here is a very becoming photo (hehe, we were laughing at how U-G-L-Y we look!) of Randall and I modeling the Snuggies and hats. Hope you like them and get a chuckle at us fools!
Today I got my inspiration from the demonstrator magazine, Stampin’ Success! I get asked all the time where I get my ideas. ONE of the places I get my ideas is this magazine. It’s a great resource every month. If you are considering becoming a demonstrator, I would love to answer any questions you might have, and January is a great time to sign up! Whether you aspire to be a hobby demonstrator and enjoy your discount among other demonstrator perks, or bring in a couple hundred extra dollars a month for your family, Stampin’ Up is for everyone! Email me if you have questions. During Sale-A-Bration, in addition to all the great stuff in your starter kit, you will also get to choose ANY stamp set from the current catalog! Full Details Here. Ok…so back to my inspiration…here is my version of the layout from above. I substituted stamps, paper, ribbon and inks. I had not planned out the card before I filmed the video, other than my colors, so take a peek and see how it all came together!
I hope you are inspired by my video to get out your stamps and try this layout. Leave a comment if you do and send me a photo! I’d love to see what you come up with. Supplies:
Thanks for checking in today! Happy Stamping Everyone! Medallion Stamp Set Notecard Gift SetDecember 17th, 2009 Posted on December 17th, 2009, 2 responses.
Happy Thursday everyone! Today I have a notecard gift set to share with you. Every year I make sets of notecards for the teachers. You can’t go wrong with a gift like this. This year, for Eva’s preschool teachers, I decided to make a simple all-occasion set with Stampin’ Up’s Medallion Stamp Set. For $17.95, this versatile stamp is the most popular stamp set in the Stampin’ Up Catalog!
If you don’t have the Medallion Stamp, other stamps that would work well in this layout are:
While I was stamping mine, Anna, my 10 year old, made this card using the same layout, different colors and stamps, I (Heart) Hearts Stamp Set. She also was showing her friend how to mount the Clear Mount Stamps! 8 years and I can sign her up. I almost video’d her demonstrating the Clear Mount…she was cute!
Back to the notecard gift set. Tips: I find it easiest to stamp assembly line style. Stamp the Medallion on ALL your white layers. Then add adhesive on them all at the same time, etc. This way, you’re not picking up and putting down your adhesive a million times!
Here is the finished package. I used the Two Tags Big Shot Die to cut out the tag (don’t miss out, it’s on sale!). Then I stamped the Medallion on it, added a half back pearl from the Pretties Kit (adhered with a mini glue dot), and stamped the greeting from Sweet Season on it as well. I wrapped the notecards and envelopes (you can see the envies in the video) in tissue paper, tied my Bermuda Bay Polka Dot Ribbon around it and through the tag, and Viola!

Hello Stampers! I hope you all had a great weekend! It was a frenzy of activity here. I had 2 workshops (Allison and Kathryn, thanks for hosting! I had a fabulous time!) and in between we did some “spring” cleaning getting ready for Grandma’s visit this week. And oh, yeah…the washer just broke with a full load of jeans and WATER! What fun! During all this activity, I realized my kids are tracking out this week (for those of you that are out of state, we go to school year round, which means we go to school for 9 weeks, then have 3 weeks off) and they won’t go back until AFTER Christmas! This means I need some teacher gifts! So if you are one of my kiddos teachers, close your eyes! My workshop guests this weekend made this card to take home, and I think it’s a great one to mass produce for our special teachers. I’ll be busy tomorrow putting some together. I haven’t decided yet about presentation. It might depend on time. I’m considering making a box, and if I do, I’m sure it will involve a video tutorial! Stay tuned, tomorrow SU will announce the HOLIDAY EXTRAVAGANZAA PROMOTION! Then, on Thursday I will announce my own. I will also be hosting my very own Holiday Gifts and Treats Smorgasboard, so check back for a series of videos featuring fun gifts and treats you can make for loved ones later this week. If you want to make the monogrammed cards, you will need a few supplies. If you would like to order, please e-mail me or visit www.catherinepooler.stampinup.net and click Shop Now and your order will be delivered right to you! Monogrammed Card Supplies:
You can also get some of the supplies for this card in my Scrappers’ Express Night and Day Specialty Kit. Only a few left! Have a great night! Crazy for Cupcakes Stamp SetNovember 8th, 2009 Posted on November 8th, 2009, no responses.Hello Stamper Friends! Hope you are having a great Sunday. Here is a card that I love to use for my workshops. It’s quick, easy and who doesn’t need a birthday card! My favorite ink pad to use for watercoloring is the Black StazOn ink pad. Stamp your main image with the Black StazOn, which is 100% waterproof, then you are able to use your Blender Pens which are basically clear markers, to color in your image without the black outline bleeding. Supplies:
And of course, if you want to glitter your cupcake frosting, don’t forget the 102023 Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and the 100425 2 Way Glue Pen!
