Vintage Valentine Card Making…with a twist!February 9th, 2012 Posted on February 9th, 2012, one response. The challenge over at Splitcoaststampers today is to make a Valentine with no red or pink! At first I was stumped, but then I thought I could make a Vintage Valentine with all neutral colors. I also incorporated the challenges at the Moxie Fab Blog for using punches in an innovative way and the challenge at CASE Study (I was inspired by the repeated frame background stamping). What do you think? All these elements combine to make a Vintage Valentine and I think this will go straight to my hubby. It’s masculine, but combines a few feminine features which is perfect since he lives with FOUR girls! This card also incorporates tons of texture!

Masculine Card Series – The Open Sea Stamp Set #1July 25th, 2011 Posted on July 25th, 2011, 7 responses.
Happy Monday, friends! The Berry Blossoms Series I did the past 2 weeks was so popular (thanks to everyone that left comments to let me know you liked it!!!), I decided to continue with another series! This time we will use The Open Sea Stamp Set and make some masculine cards. How does that grab ya?? The Stampin’ Up supply list includes (click on highlighted products to view in my store):
How did I choose this collection of products? I used the Nautical Expedition Designer Series Paper to inspire my color scheme. Then I chose some "non-girly" accessories, such as brads, twine and the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. Let’s see what I come up with using these delightful goodies! My inspiration today came from the Mojo Monday sketch. If you are viewing this post in a feed, click on the title to view the video on my blog. Hope you enjoy the video on the various elements of this Masculine Card!

Beware Pirates Stampin’ UpDecember 18th, 2010 Posted on December 18th, 2010, no responses.Happy Saturday everyone! A quick post for you today…I have to run to the post office (egads, wish me luck!!!) and tonight Randall and I are going out on a date! woot! We are having a holiday dinner with our wonderful friends that live on our street. There are 6 families that have lived here for 7+ years and we all have kids from the ages of 2 – 11. All the kids and all the adults enjoy each other’s company so much and we feel so blessed to have wonderful friends and neighbors like we do. The adults are going to Maggiano’s tonight to have a family-style meal. Have you ever done that before? It’s SO MUCH FOOD and so delish! I think I will have an apple for lunch to save room! Today’s card is a great one for any boy in your life! I stamped the image in craft ink, poured on clear embossing powder and heated it. I tore the edges and sponged on Chocolate Chip ink. To get the distressing on the background cardstock, I swiped my ink pad across the cardstock. Cool, huh? STAMPIN’ UP SUPPLIES:

Stamp-A-Stack, Very Thankful Stamp Set, Three Little Words Stamp SetJanuary 28th, 2010 Posted on January 28th, 2010, no responses.Look at these happy stamper girls! They said I could take their photo, but I wasn’t allowed to identify them! LOL! We had a super fun time at my Stamp-A-Stack last night. These girls really know how to cut up! I always crack up at my classes, especially the “rowdy” ones, because I walk around with a coffee cup in hand all night, chattin’ it up (sometimes too much maybe?) and it’s called WORK! I looove my job, and if you are considering becoming a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator, email me with questions. Read more here. Wanna chat about it, call me (919)841-0373, or email me and I’ll call you. Even if you just want to enjoy the discount, you really have nothing to lose. The Stampin’ Up Demonstrator Starter Kit is 15% off AND you get an additional stamp set for free (what’s in the kit?) and the minimum is only $300 in sales each quarter. Many demonstrators in my downline enjoy the discount and the other demo perks and just purchase for themselves. And you’d be helping me work towards earning the Workshop of a Lifetime where Shelli (co-founder and CEO of Stampin’ Up) will come to your house to do a workshop and a downline meeting! Oh, my gosh! The challenge ends on Sunday, so let me know if you have any questions and we’ll see if it’s a fit for you. on to the Stamp-a-stack cards: Here are 2 of the cards from my Stamp-a-stack. We did 5 different designs and they made 3 of each. I love the card above with that darling little turtle! How stinkin’ cute is he!!??? It’s one of the regular catalog stamp sets you can get for free… To purchase, use number 115338 ($14.95) and to get it for free with your $50 purchase, use order #120269.
This card here is a bit rough around the edges after fighting with the ink pad, but I liked it because it’s a different color combo for me. Chocolate Chip, Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry and Old Olive. It’s a great card with masculine feel to it. AND it uses another stamp set you can get for free with a $50 purchase during Sale-a-bration! To purchase, use number 113254 ($13.95) and to get it for free with your $50 purchase, use order #120240. See all the Details on Sale-a-bration in this post. Three Little Words stamp set images:
