Hey, friends! Happy Friday! I have a sick kid home today. After a healthy serving of chocolate chip pancakes, she’s snuggled on the couch watching Dolphin Tale for the 3rd time! This gives me a few minutes to stamp!
Once I saw the sketch at Clean and Simple Stamping today, I immediatly knew I would use the Sanded Embossed Background technique! (Not sure if that’s really what this is called, but we’re goin’ with it!)
Honestly, I never would have put Poppy Parade and Pool Party together…would you? Since the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series came out in the Sale-a-bration Catalog, I’ve been using this combo and it really works!

The card base is 11 x 4-1/4, Soft Suede Layer is 4-3/4 x 3-1/2, and DSP is 4-1/2 x 3-1/4.
If you liked this video, and would like to see more, CLICK HERE to view my first video in the My Friend Series, then be sure to sign up for my newsletter to get the additional 3 videos in the series (along with rockin’ subscriber-only content!). See you there!

Very nice card! I like the flowers. And the background is great this way!

Love this technique. I am definately going to try it. I bet it would bring out a new look to a lot of my embossing folders witth my big shot. Since I got my big shot, I don’t see how I ever did cards without it. Thankz
