Eva, the Budding Stamper!
December 7th, 2011My 7 year old has been doing a lot of stamping lately and I think she’s getting kind of good! You may remember the card she made for her big sister HERE.
Over the past few days she has been working on her birthday thank you cards. I can honestly say she did this card all by herself, other than a bit of the cutting and I suggested an snowflake. Other than that, this was all her!
I love that she used glitter under the skaters for ice. And yes, now I am completely out of Dazzling Diamonds Glitter now! She cleaned me out!
A few things I saw while she was working:
- Excitement, she had a ball!
- Perfectionism: she was driving me nuts a few times when it didn’t "turn out right" (I was a bit surprised that the smudges on this card pass Eva-inspection!)
- Creativity and attention to detail: the envelopes speak to this!
Plain white envelopes were not good enough for her. She used all sorts of things to dress these up! Guess they will all be hand delivered.
I did film a short video of her talking about her creations, but she didn’t want me to post it on my blog. I asked her if I could post it on facebook and she said yes! (Not sure she really knows the difference between the blog and facebook so much, but whatever…I’m going with it!).

I should have asked Eva to make my Christmas cards this year. Instead, I bought some that DON’T MEASURE UP to hrs!
