Aviary Stamp Set Christmas Card

November 15th, 2011

Have you ever submitted a card to a publication?  I did for the first time this spring and this was the card.  Sadly, it wasn’t accepted, but I thought you all might like it!  It uses an untraditional stamp set for a Christmas Card.

I stamped the pine using a stamp from the Autumn Days Stamp Set 2 – 3 times between each inking.  I then stamped the bird cage and bird from the Aviary Stamp Set, cut it out, popped it up with dimensionals, and topped with a bow to make it look like it is hanging from a tree.

I think that’s about all for today!  I’m super sleepy today…if you remember I had pneumonia in May and since then I’m on my FIFTH cold.  Good grief!  I’m wondering if my eating habits are the cause.  I eat a fairly healthy diet, but about 10 years ago I found out I am sensitive to caffeine, aspertame and dairy.  I cut them out of my diet for a while, but have been back to eating those things again.  Maybe consuming those things are causing issues with my immune system?

So today is day #2 of no coffee, soda or milk.  I’m blaming my tired-ness on that!  Anyone else have food issues?

Stampin’ Up Supplies:

  • Aviary Stamp Set, Autumn Days Stamp Set
  • Cardstock: Confetti Cream, Cherry Cobbler, Soft Suede
  • Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive Marker, Early Espresso Marker
  • Accessories:  Basic Pearls, 1/8" Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, Music Notes Wheel, Wheel Handle, Sponges, Dimensionals

Stay tuned…I’m brewing up a fun offer for you for Black Friday and Cyber Monday.  Oh, what could it be?  ;)
