A Good Egg Stampin’ Up- You Crack Me Up!

April 21st, 2011

Peeps!  (pun intended!) Why didn’t anyone tell me that Easter is THREE days away and I haven’t posted any Easter projects yet!?  Oh, my goodness.  How did this happen?  I have the darling  A Good Egg Stamp Set, and I haven’t even touched it this year.   No, I didn’t give it up for lent.

When I saw the inspiration piece at CASE Study, my creative juices got flowin’!  The layout, the bow and the spread of pearls on Silke’s card were carried over to mine.  I was super happy with how this card came out….super spring-y and fun.  AND I used the very popular Custom Designer Brad Tutorial.  (click for video)

I love the patterns in the Sweet Stitches DSP pack and thought they would be perfect for the egg.  Aren’t they adorable?  I stamped the chick and egg twice on the DSP and cut them out.  After I stamped it again on the White cardstock, I colored the chick in using ink pads and aquapainters (click for video) and punched that out with my 2-1/2" Circle Punch (LOOOOVE how big that sucker is!).

I cut the DSP eggs out and popped them up with dimensionals.  My grass was made by punching out a 2-1/2" Circle, then basically snipping out triangles.

I stamped the greeting straight onto my DSP, but it was crooked…so I stamped it again, punched it with the Word Window Punch and viola! mistake disappeared.

Have a wonderful Easter everyone!  I will have a few new things to share on my blog over the long weekend, so be sure to pop in, and sign up for my newsletter if you haven’t already!
