Stampers’ Q&A: How Do I Organize My Cardstock?

March 25th, 2011

Many people ask me how I organize my cardstock.  When I began stamping almost 8 years ago, I kept all my cardstock in a craft keeper.  I quickly outgrew that!

So I bought 2 file folder boxes and made a file folder for each of Stampin’ Up’s colors.

I put my full 81/2 x 11 pieces of cardstock in there, and the scraps.

I’ve been using this method of organizing my cardstock for about 7 years and it’s worked great!  Next week I’ll share how I organize my 12 x 12 cardstock, so be sure to check back!

Hi! I too use a file box container like that for my cardstock, except that I don’t keep the scraps in there – I have a separate smaller one that has a pocket folder for each color (some of the Neutrals are in one folder) – the smaller one I can take to events for them to use the scraps. My 12×12 dsp’s are in drawers laying flat – not always the best thing. I am going to redo my area this summer and have a wooden paper rack that has all the dividers built in, so hopefully that will make it easier to find the dsp I want. Thanks for sharing.
