Stampers’ Q&A: How Do You Apply Rhinestones to Your Card?

August 23rd, 2010

Have you seen the new Basic Rhinestones and Pearls in the Stampin’ Up! Catalog?  They are fabulous!  Half back pearls and rhinestones with a mini glue dot…just peel and stick.

Some of my customers have had a little trouble getting them off the sheet and they are so small, they can get a bit out of control in your fingers.

The solution is easy as pie!  Simply grab a pearl or rhinestone off the paper with the tip of your paper snips or with some tweazers!   View the video to see what I mean!

The first card here was inspired by a great sketch over at CPS.  What a great way to use up scraps of Designer Series Paper, ribbon, cardstock, etc.!

Here’s another sample using the Rhinestones and Pocket Silouettes.  The card was simple to make.  I cut 1-1/4" squares, 4 of them, stamped my images from the Pocket Silhouettes Stamp set, then matted them with 1-1/2" squares of Pear Pizzazz.  I attached them to my card with Dimensionals.  Imagine the possibilities of this layout (from Mojo Monday, BTW)!  You could stamp just about anything in those squares!
