Stampers’ Q&A: Two Tone Background via Square Lattice Embossing Folder

May 28th, 2010

Hi Stampers! For today’s Stampers’ Q&A, I have a fun technique for you.

When I posted these cards, Ashley wanted to know:  “May I ask how you got the two tone on the background using the lattice folder? It is very pretty. Thanks for the ideas, they are great.”

It’s really rather simple and packs a punch, you all know I flip for that!  All you need is a brayer, an ink pad and the Square Lattice Impressions Embossing Folder.

Ink up your brayer.

Roll your brayer across your embossing folder.  I’m using Stampin’ Up’s Certainly Celery Ink.

Run your Stampin’ Up Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder through the Big Shot Machine.

Thanks for the tutorial, I think this is becoming one of my favorite ways to use the folders. It makes such a pretty background. Keep the ideas coming!!!
